On Thursday July 22nd there will be a screening of 'Burning' at The Continental in Preston on a brand new 14ft screen.
It is part of a whole days worth of seminars, workshops, Q+A's etc organised by 'Creative Lancashire'. You can find out information on the day time events at the link below...

The day will end with a special line-up of music at The Continental, including the screening of 'Burning'. plus a live performance from Mistys Big Adventure and much more.

Imagine Harry Nilsson strumming any stringed instrument that he can get his hands on. "Theatrical, epic, vaudeville tunes, driven by accordian, mandolin and organ and haunted by the ghosts of Anthony Newley, Scott Walker, Burt Bacharach and Jake Thackray." He’ll also appear at this year's Kendal Calling.

MISTY'S BIG ADVENTURE

A glorious 8 piece band from Birmingham, made up of brothers and sisters and twins and saxophones and trumpets and cute, weird dancers who produce uplifting, life affirming tunes. “The UK’s answer to the Arcade Fire” - The Independent.

MOGWAI 'BURNING' – A film by Nathanaël Le Scouarnec and Vincent Moon
Kickstarting the Continental’s programme of music and art films – a pre-release screening of Mogwai’s new film ‘Burning’ (release date mid August). Brought to you in association with 44 Promotions.
BBC Lancashire Introducing are also supporting the event and will be in attendance. There will also be a sound installation, a fanzine swap shop plus a live sound-mix by Robbie Judkins.
