It would be fantastic to catch them live at least once more.
Maybe they could support on Mogwai's second UK tour later this year....

RAARRR. Always vouch for the Chimp on here. Split been a little while coming I fear, but yes, last chance now coming up - gotta take it. Great band - that second record is a stone cold classic.

Ahhh, this news pains me greatly!
At least we're getting notice ahead of time.
Hopefully they do make it back to North America too. I'm pondering booking a trip across the Atlantic to see them one more time though, if need be.

Show at the buffalo bar last night was fantastiche. Had no idea Joe had rejoined them, the sound was completely terrifying, loudest i've seen them in a long while. Stuart was there for a bit, but pretty sure he left before they started (they went on at about 11:45pm and played for a roughly an hour) All in all a cracking nights entertainment.

www.partchimp.com/news.htmlupdate 03-06-11 - Couple of things -
We're putting a call out to anyone who has taken photos of us over the years to get in touch for a project that's being put together for the end of the year. The idea is being looked after by a mate of ours so please get in touch with him directly - letthemeatcoal@hotmail.com
We're in the studio this weekend recording 7 or 8 tracks - some for a split with Torche and some for an ep on Rock Action.
There's a couple of new dates on the gigs page - a show in Liverpool and a date in London at an event with Trans Am and loads of other bands.

Ok, so who's heading to the Lexington on Friday? Chimp / Colossus / Palehorse. A heavier line-up you'd struggle to find.

update 27-06-11 - Thanks to everyone that came along on Friday to the show at The Lexington. Palehorse and Hey Colossus were excellent and the crowd were fantastic. Also, for once, big up to the soundman - Sergio - who was chilled and professional and did a great job for all the bands.
Also, we've just confirmed that we're doing a live BBC Radio 6 Music session for Marc Riley on Tuesday 12th July.
Tracks we recorded a couple of weekends ago for the Torche single are mixed and ready to go. The rest of the tracks should be getting mixed over the next few weeks.

You Decide I Lie Sometimes Star Piss
Marc Riley said there was a fourth session track on Gideon Coe's show. Missed out on that extra track. Can't find it on any of the subsequent tracklists of that show either (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0072l9v/episodes/2011). Anyone know what it was or when it will be aired eventually?

Got the split release with Torche in the post over the weekend. It looks fantastic - blue 12" vinyl and superb cover art. I haven't had chance to play the record yet, but the two Chimp tracks are "Dr. Horse" and "The Watcher".

I think it was made for their joint US tour. It's a lovely thing to have. The cover art is fantastic. I woldn't like to say if Chunklet will do a repress, but it seems the demand is there. Perhaps you could try Torche's US label Robotic Empire? I'l keep an eye out, maybe a UK distro will strike lucky. If not, then look out for big prices on Discogs and eBay.
