Rob I'm being a geek and updating my gigography. Was wondering if you'd like some assistance updating the site gigography? I should have some time later this month. Updates underway as requested. www.youngteam.co.uk/brightlight/eng/gigs17.phpIf anyone can locate a setlist for Festival No.6 or the Bucharest show in July, please add them to this thread. Thanks Rob, I'm a big fan of the gigography, so very pleased to see it continue.

I don't know if this has been announced, probably has but not anywhere I'd have seen it - Mogwai are apparently playing Sigur Ros's mini-festival in Reykjavik between Christmas and New Year nordurognidur.is/

In addition to the BBC 6Music Maida Vale show on 3rd October, Mogwai are recording an hour-long set for BBC 2/BBC Radio Scotland in Glasgow. Stupidly, I've deleted the email, but I think it was at the end of next week? Did anyone else get the email about entering a competition to win a pair of tickets?

An announcement re: Martin being unable to tour - taken from FB: We are sorry to announce that due to ill health, Martin will be unable to join us for our BBC sessions this week and upcoming live shows until further notice. To say the least, we are all absolutely gutted but wish him a super speedy recovery so he can get back behind the drums and rejoin the tour as soon as possible. We are lucky to have recruited and offer a warm welcome to Cat Myers from Honeyblood who will stand in for Martin while he recovers. Thanks - Barry, Dominic and Stuart.

Who enjoyed the radio 6 live thing? I know Ben was watching, only caught from MFS onwards as I was in a bloomin meeting, but it sounded amazing and Cat from Honeyblood did an admirable job on drums. Who else was on guitar, was it Alex with a haircut or someone else?
Lauren Laverne looked like she was enjoying herself a bit more than for Morrissey yesterday, her conversation with Stuart for the memory tapes feature was good.

Is this the first Mogwai show with a female musician on stage since the Rock Action shows with Caroline Barber on cello?

Is this the first Mogwai show with a female musician on stage since the Rock Action shows with Caroline Barber on cello? No -Shona Brown joined them on stage for her flute part in MFS for the two barras shows in 2015. To answer my own question- I think it was Scott Paterson on ‘John duties’ today. (Just watching on the red button now )

No -Shona Brown joined them on stage for her flute part in MFS for the two barras shows in 2015. Thank you. Just listening to the audio stream. There's nearly 30 mins of interviews across the Lauren Laverne and Radcliffe/Maconie shows, plus Cody as the encore on Radcliffe/Maconie.

I've managed to see the 36 minutes shown on BBC iPlayer. Good stuff. The new songs are starting to hit home more now. Sincerely hope Martin recovers well and soon. How long was the full show? Set list, anyone?

Thanks for that Rob. It's a shame that the whole show isn't available on the red button. Seems a bit of a waste.

If anyone has access to Sky Arts - there's a highlights package from Festival No.6 on Sunday night, including Mogwai content of some sort.

Barry apologised on twitter for a “bottle crash” (?!) - what went wrong? Erm........ Just say the night was not error free....... Am not one for grassing but lets just allege that Stuart cocked up the intro to "Brain Sweeties" 4 times at one point..... They were a few errors thru the night, but to be honest it just adding to the show as it gave both the small crowd and band a bit of a laugh.....

Will be interesting to see how much they mix up the setlist with Cat on board, as I doubt they had much time to rehearse before the tour started.... But I do know that Cat also does a some session work for various bands plus she can read music so it wouldn't be to difficult for her o learn the tracks but thats slightly different than playing them live with the band..... What I can say the errors made at the BBC Scotland recording were from Stuart and Barry, Cat was note perfect....lol..

I'd be perfectly happy with that setlist, glad to see they are continuing to play a lot of the new album. I'll be thrilled if they keep Fife continually in the mix.

I'll be thrilled if they keep Fife continually in the mix. Agreed wholeheartedly, but it'll have to survive until more extensive UK dates are (hopefully) announced for 2018.
