Martin's said on Twitter that he's not doing the Australia/Asia dates due to upcoming heart surgery. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

One of my favourite shows, that was. First time I saw them live. Amazing. I think I pissed Stuart off by posting my video of Batcat on Youtube, several weeks before it was released.

Sadly can't get to the Meltdown show, wish I could The Leith thing is in the summer holidays so that looks more feasible Mind you getting accommodation in Edinburgh Festival time might be a big challenge. Been thinking of Martin - really hope he's recovering OK from the surgery

Martin was back on drums for the four-song encore at the RFH last night, apparently. First plays for Ex-Cowboy and My Father My King since 2015. First play for Kids Will Be Skeletons since 2011.

Yeah was good to see Martin back for the encore..... Really enjoyed last nights show, although I thought the sound was iffy for the first two tracks but was magnificent afterwards... Looking forward to the two Leith Shows in August.........

Was great to see Martin on the encore. Sound was great, they all played well but something was off with the arrangements especially in the big ones like Fear Satan, Ex Cowboy and MFMK. Maybe because of the different way that Alex plays his parts? I miss Johns layers of sound washing over the blow out moments. Jim Morrison was very good though as were several others mostly newish songs which I guess demonstrates my point.

Has anyone seen an actual setlist for the Dresden show on Sunday? setlist.fm currently has Heard About You Last Night and Deesh on there, which I'm struggling to believe.

Aye, this has worked out very nicely as we can't make either of the TTS headline shows, mind you have seen them twice in the last month so can't complain!

News from last night:
"Last night was Cat Myers last appearance with Mogwai. Stuart thanked her intensly, other band members hugged her at the end of show. Both at Dour and Cactus, she assisted as second drummer on two songs."

Ah Cat's been great but it'll be wonderful to have Martin back full time. Arachnid - I think the Dome's standing from the pics I've seen, never went when I lived there years ago. We're thinking of Liverpool - looks like a gorgeous old theatre. The OH was not impressed with the O2 in Leeds when we went back in 2011, first time I ever saw them and TTS were supporting then too funnily enough. It's only 20 miles from us so I'm tempted to drive myself and go on my own.

I don't go to many gigs in venues bigger than pubs nowadays. Just looking at the Leeds pre-sale. Is £30 a ticket about standard? It seems a lot, but I can't remember what we paid for Bristol in Feb.

Just consulted my pile of tickets - Albert Hall in Feb was £27.50 but yes tipping into £30 realm seems a bit much. Father John Misty at the Apollo in Manchester was only £24 last November and he had a big band, string section etc. (and it's massive....) but tbh I would pay whatever for Mogwai because I know it'll be incredible. I'm going to Liverpool with the husband and probably Leeds with a friend instead as he hates the O2.

Feel happy with £30 for a ticket given the support act, it feels like good value for money compared to similar with a random unknown supporting (not suggesting Mogwai ever really do this). i'm also going to do the liverpool gig, it's 20 miles from my house and I've not been to the venue before. Went for a lower balcony seat given it'll be a long gig.

Brighton Dome is a terrific venue. Saw Mogwai there in October 2014 and it was a cracking gig. Backing band that night was The Errors. Had a great seat but opting to stand for this November's show.
