This one is the stream dump (RealAudio format) from Soundlabs 2008. The Mogwai tracks (Friend, Summer, 2 Rights) start at 41' into the show. There is no "fast forward" for this stream if you want to skip the rest of the broadcast. So the best strategy is to convert the *.rm file to wav (mplayer -ao pcm:file=sound.wav -vc null -vo null mogwai-roseto-20080726.rm). www.sendspace.com/file/0zk60bI will find out next week if my automated satellite recording (192kbps, 48kHz) has worked. Kaffeine on Linux is quite reliable but I have seen pigs fly... P.S.: This is the other recent file dump from graf'hit (Strasbourg 2009). Ex-Cowboy has been removed by me due to some network drop outs: www.sendspace.com/file/5yqt1e

That show was recorded in 2003 (as far as I remember). The tv recording from SF2 that's circulating is not THAT great visually. It must have been converted from PAL to NTSC and back. Moreover, it's incomplete. I know there's another source (a complete, high quality realmedia stream captured from bluewin.ch) but I've never managed to find it anywhere on the net. (Unfortunately, the rtsp link from the following page is dead.) streemeboxvcr.yuku.com/topic/1504/t/Mogwai-live-in-Montreux-2003.htmlTalking about Montreux, I still have the satellite radio broadcast from 2006 lying around here.

It's NTSC. I once had a PAL version but it has become unplayable, now. The mix of MFMK/John The Revelator (Blues Brothers) is totally genius. I've read that Claude Nobs has been archiving pretty much anything from Montreux. Perhaps the show might be released officially at some point in time. www.montreuxsounds.com/index.php?a=chm&v=|home|av_recordingsMogwai: www.montreuxsounds.com/detail2006.php?fiche=2537

thanks for those links markus...we can live in hope that mogwai will one day be released.
the show doesn't appear to me to indicate a PAL VHS > NTSC VHS > NTSC DVD copy because the quality is not that degraded. i'd guess it's likely a PAL VHS > NTSC DVD copy made by one of our american cousins... while i can't prove that, it just seems likely...
how long did they do the john the revelator sample in mfmk? i can't recall whether i've heard it before. but it is pretty awesome.

Can anyone help me get a copy of the soundboard recording of Edinburgh 21/10/08?
I was at that one and although I have a couple of live shows I don't have one that I actually was at.
Thanks.
