Some great sets *jealous face* I see from twitter that James from Errors did the Mexico gig yesterday, wonder why Martin couldn't do it...

No Martin and no John last night. Stuart said that they couldnt leave the US, I guess because Visa issues of some kind. The lack of the extra guitar was made up by the intensity of the Errors's guy on drums. He kiled it. They seemed happy by the crowd reaction, which was really enthusiastic.

No offence to Martin but isn't John allowed to leave because he is a US citizen yeah? Can anyone clear that up for a slow human being like me?

I hope to get some decent shots of the band at the MTL gig. I won't count on it - do to my shortness - but I am gonna give it a go.

just got home from charlottesville. unfortunately no longer going to dc. never a disappointment. always seems to be a good mix of old and new. i don't seem to go to that many shows anymore so it's a bit weird for my ears to be ringing like they are.
i'd try to post a setlist, but sadly i don't know the newest songs. helicon 1 + 2, ratts, flies, batcat, we're no here, auto rock and more.

That'll be the first Helicon 2 since 2008 then - curiously also a show you attended www.youngteam.co.uk/brightlight/eng/gig160908.phpGreat to see Mogwai running through so many tracks on this tour.

I caught half of it and I know there are 5 individual videos on the bonnaroo channel... but did any body happen to record the video of the full bonnaroo set?
would love to get my hands on it.
thanks.

also, re: the light turnout, i was a bit concerned when about 15minutes before balam alcab the floor looked like this: i.imgur.com/zhI31h.jpgi saw mono in charlottesville (at the same venue mogwai played in 06) in 07 and while i know they aren't as a big of a draw, it was during the summer and there were a total of about 20 people at the show. i was able to walk up to the edge of the stage and have no one in front of me during the middle of their set. anyway, another mogwai picture from last night: i.imgur.com/YbROBh.jpgi'd agree with the ~300 assessment though.. it was very light attendance although the balcony was pretty full of people sitting down (including old people like myself -- at least i felt old at this show) it was my 16th mogwai show and i have yet to feel in any way disappointed. never an identical setlist and the sound is always good, if not as loud as it used to be. feels to me like the shows got less loud in 03 and that's 10 years gone by somehow.

I've nicked this for the gigography, hope that's ok. Taken during I Know You Are presumably?

I've nicked this for the gigography, hope that's ok. Taken during I Know You Are presumably? yeah that's fine. i would say that's probably the best guess. i didn't take that many, but i could upload some more. i was mostly just trying out a new lens in a concert setting, but being where i was and not being able to zoom, it kind of limits the shots i could take. i was front row center on the balcony and _really_ wishing my video camera still worked.

June 16th, NY Webster hall setlist (from memory)
Yes! I am a long way from home White noise I know you are but what am I Stanley Kubrick CODY Ex Cowboy Mexican Grand Prix Stop Coming to my House San Pedro How to be a werewolf Rats of the Capital Take Me Somewhere Nice
(Encores) Rano Pano I'm Jim Morison, I'm Dead We're no here
We're no here ended similarly to the last few minutes of feedback on My Father, My King. I've been to 4 Mogwai shows and this was by far the best set list.
