haha! indeed. It's seems as though Mogwai tour partying ends in the creation of new twitter accounts. It's always hilarious to see how they spring up. Kept me highly entertained.
**almost as much as James Hamilton's (Errors) drunk tweets

Anyone noticed that Twitter seems to have disappeared back into itself in the last couple of days? The feed on the BL blog has stopped working, and all my RSS feeds from various accounts have died too. Ah well.

Apparently, the old API has been deprecated and the method GET statuses/public_timeline was removed. Twitter advises to use GET statuses/user_timeline instead. I was genuinely concerned for a while yesterday that this might spell the end of BL's news function - as everything gets announced via Twitter nowadays, not having a quick and convenient way to keep up with various Twitter accounts would be a total pain.

huh, I didn't notice any change in anything... Then again, I use Tweetdeck for everything, maybe that's why? If you're not on the Tweetdeck train now Rob, I'd suggest it. Easy and fast way to see your timeline, interactions and mentions and you can add columns for any other account you like to follow carefully, so you don't have to go searching for them. My Tweetdeck has 21 different columns for all my tweeting needs. haha! It's kind of nuts. Here is a screen shot of what I got going on for Mogwai info: There are more columns but, they don;t all fit in one screen. I love it. Then again, I'm a computer nerd. So... yea:)

Thanks for the suggestion, Tiff.
I really value the convenience of knowing that all of my web needs are (or were) in three places - email account, Google Reader, this forum. That's it. Which means I can catch up in minutes when I finally get some online time.
Can Tweetdeck tell me which tweets I''ve read and which I haven't?

humm, not really. So I guess it's not much of a help. I know Hootsuite (which is kind of the same thing as Tweetdeck), does. It saves them all up and tells you that you have "30 new tweets" to read, so when you click on the note, it will drop down all the new tweets. I use Hootsuite for a festival I am currently running social media for, and it's pretty great. From what I can see it also lets you post and access your FB & other social media accounts. It's a little more complicated though, so I stick to Tweetdeck for my personal and Noisography stuff. If your good with what you're working with now though, I'd stick to it. Sometimes all this stuff can be a bit more hassle then one needs

Thanks Tiff. Markus's suggestion seems to be working at the moment - there's a bit of a time-lag but that's not a problem because it's usually hours after the tweets have been sent that I get to read them anyway.

Hey Tiffany, if you had a couple of Twitter accounts, would you able to have column for each account you tweet as in TweetDeck?

yup! I run tweets from my personal account, my Noisography account and this forum's account all from Tweetdeck. Its so convenient.
