was curious if anyone is going to record tonight's mogwai session on onemusic?
and if possibly anyone was going to make mp3s of said recording?
i'm going to be away from a computer during the show and i'm quite pissed about it.
btw, hello, i'm new to the forum.

I just listened to it and I hope someone did record it. Great set, especially Mogwai Fear Satan. The full set they played was: Friend Of The Night Glasgow Megasnake Summer Acid Food Folk Death 95 Travel Is Dangerous We're No Here Hunted By A Freak Mogwai Fear Satan

Starts about midnight (1 hour into the show) and lasts about 45 mins. Sounded pretty great last night (at low volume so I didn't wake my wife up)! Oh, and you might want to listen on for the first e-mail that Hugh reads out afterwards

i listened real quick last night before going to bed. i didn't listen to the reading of the email though... i'll have to do that today. i hope someone turns this into mp3 format... i'd like to listen to it for more than seven days.
anyway sounded great. some of the singing was a bit rough... but i enjoyed it.

I had a very busy day, and forgot it was on, and so forgot to set up my PC to record it before I went out. Damn.

If it's on the "listen again" thing I'll have a go at grabbing it sometime in the next few days.
I was cleaning out my computer today and found this that I recorded ages ago and haven't split up yet.. if anyone is interested I'll try and make it available too: Mogwai - 2004-03-26 - ATP Festival - John Peel.wav
I'm not sure how easily I can distribute stuff though. Bit torrent? Yousendit? Anyone got an FTP?

am listening to it now. terrible quality stream from the bbc, but recording it nonetheless....
that 2004 ATP recording can be nabbed from archive.org - but check cause you're might be better, tho it's be hardpushed cause the one on archive.org is fantastic.

Ah thanks for saving me the trouble. My ATP rip was just done from the Radio 1 net stream so it's probably worse - I'll compare tonight.

hi guys i actually recorded the show and have it in mp3 if anyones interested, it's only 128 kbps cos thats the highest my dab radio will encode in, but i'm sure thats got to be better than a shitty web stream. anyway heres mogwai fear satan from the show as a bit of a taster, i'd be willing to yousendit the whole thing if thats ok with the mods, let me know what you think s5.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1VZ9Z16GHJQ7A2HRKY6XHNSW8T

Nice one Lurgee! have managed to download. Gis more please.
I have managed to convert into WMA on my PC and it sounds excellent. For what it is worth even after a couple of listens..think this is my favourite version of "Satan" ...even the quiet(er) break in the middle sounds menacing!
I'll be happy to share the WMA(s)with other folk...subject to Mod approval of course.

Hi Lurgee;
Any chance of a lossless conversion and torrent or something? I'd be happy to do this if I could get my hands on the files somehow, but I'm in Canada. How did you record it? Direct to WAV on your HD I guess? I'd really love a copy of this somehow and could trade or whatever else.....

if anyone wants to swap a recording of this (that isn't taken from the web stream) for a copy of an audience recording of the last ica date let me know.

I don't see why the mods would object to the whole thing being posted as mp3s, as neither the BBC nor Mogwai stand to lose anything by their being available

Marvel at the seamless way "Freak" segues into "Satan" Alternatively, you could marvel at the way xfm managed to smother the intro to each track with their idents during the session tonight. Session tracks: Glasgow MS/Friend Of The Night/We're No Here

hope i can nab your copy lurgee, cause my outback broadband connection doesn't like yousendit.com. tried 3 times to nab brizer's version and it failed at about 90% each time. for some reason after 50MB it becomes a lottery, and resuming the download doesn't work either... incredibly frustrating....
edit: worked a treat! thanks so much. sounds amazing - well the opening 30secs of friend of the night does, which is as far as i've got.
