Is the torrent just of heard about you last night? Sim & Yelobeli - I couldn't have been more than a few feet away from either of you! Will try to upload a couple of pictures Also my source close to the band (!) said there is a Vic Galloway session coming up soon :-)

The torrents are of the full set. If we assume that the person who's uploaded the videos to YouTube recorded the whole set on their Zoom recorder, then there's at least five recordings from the Cambridge show.

Having listened to this bootleg 5 or 6 times now, I can say the following:
- firstly, what an excellent recording. Wow - 10/10 - I don't know if its because it's a bootleg, but I love the (new?) dirty low end mix on rano pano and white noise - heard about you last night is stuck in my head - lovely and catchy - The Lord is out of control is just awesome, love it - unfortunately I'm having a hard time giving a thumbs up to the other new songs. I'm finding it hard to even remember MasterCard and hexon bogon, right after I listen to them. A shame on the latter since its such an awesome song title :-) it reminds me of an inferior batcat - Remurdered sounds like it will be awesome live, but I'm still pretty cool to it at this point

Which one is the one you're saying sounds so great? The first one, or the second (the one atop this page)?
Edit: I guess it's likely first one, the one on the previous page. Listening to it now and it does sound very good. The mids and highs are crystal clear. I just signed up again for Dime for this after letting my account lapse about 6 years ago. Well worth it.

my preference is the 2nd one (whiskybob). bit roudier sounding.

Interesting, I'll have to give that one a try later on. I boosted the low end a bit via my player's EQ on the first one, which helped a lot. The detail on that recording is really outstanding for an AUD. Maybe I haven't been listening to that many AUD's in the past number of years and the equipment's improved or something.

This is a very good thing, obviously. I've had the six new songs on repeat (in between family duties and trying to sort out some recordings from Friday night) and I'd agree that Master Card and Hexon Bogon are the two which are taking the longest time to stick. Hopefully we'll have studio-quality versions of some of the songs to listen to after the TV broadcast from Dingle next weekend.

Sim & Yelobeli - I couldn't have been more than a few feet away from either of you! You must have been almost next to me. John's guitar rack was right in front of me.

Have listened to the Cambridge bootleg a good few times now- Really looking forward to the studio versions ('Heard about you...' and 'The Lord..' in particular). 'Mastercard' isn't immediate for me but then again a live bootleg won't show it in the proper light. Seems like the album is going to have a nice mix of songs on it. Also, happy to see vocals and vocoder back. Wonder are there any facemelters (GMS/Batcat style)?

Wonder are there any facemelters (GMS/Batcat style)? I'd guess that's Hexon Bogon?

Yeah...not long to go now - surprised it hasn't leaked yet - then again I think 'Hardcore' leaked very early

went to atp, have to say it may be the best time i've seen them before. sound was impeccable. stuart came in too early during the quiet bit of herod before it got loud - the rest of the band seemed very amused. i was pretty much open-mouthed with awe during mastercard, it was incredible live. so you guys shouldn't take these live bootlegs too seriously. i'm still waiting for mogwai to lose their vitality, looks like we've got another album of them yet

awesome...yeah bootlegs wont do it justice (The Lord studio version is great). Rave Tapes, potential EP and CODY reissue will make 2014 pretty great!

Thanks for the comments about the recordings, I wore plugs for the show because last year I had a problem with an inner ear infection and only took them out when they played Mogwai fear Satan.......WOW was that loud!!
I'm never really happy with much that I record but it's a pretty decent reflection on what I was picking up, thing is that unless you've invested in Schoeps it can be pretty darn difficult to capture Mogwai because of the huge dynamic range so you're always trying to get as close to the red without actually hitting it, recording at 24/96 (bit/Hz) helps and gives you a little more headroom but it's always a bit hit and miss because I like to rig up and forget about it, otherwise I spent too much of the gig thinking about what I'm recording. Looking forward to RFH, decent seats and good acoustics should make for a half decent recording.
Just a side note....If I win the lottery OR if anyone here wins the lottery a pair of Factory-matched pair of Schoeps CCM 41V microphones would be very nice!!!

I'm loving Hexon Bogon, partly because it's exactly what I was hoping it to be , I'm a big fan of tracks like Ithaca, small children, I love you etc
On the flip side I thought bat cat was an inferior version of Glasgow m/s lol !

think the (short) set was:
heard about you last night the lord is out of control blues hour master card how to be a werewolf remurdered
they were supposed to go on stage at 10, but ended up unsurprisingly delayed on a 4 band bill and started at 10.25ish. finished promptly at 11 and had setlists so guessing they were meant to play longer. it was great but again with mogwai, it was 10% as powerful as seeing them in the flesh.
what i noticed seeing these new tunes live, and then to a lesser extent on telly, is how meaty, accomplished and BIG they sound. i always thought with things like travel is dangerous, and more recently some of the hardcore stuff such as san pedro and rano pano (though Rano Pano sounded huge at ATP this time) i was a bit disappointed when i saw it live in comparison to the studio versions as they seemed to fall flat and lack the punch. though maybe now i'll hate the studio versions. can't wait for an album version of mastercard though.

Ah sorry I didn't record it. I think I saw it all - there was conflicting information about the start times on the guardian page, on twitter someone said 'only 6 songs' and I saw the following (also Stuart did his intro after heard about you last night) They played: Heard about you last night, mastercard (I think! - need to check names) , lord is out of control, blues hour, werewolf, remurdered
Sound was interesting at points on my ipad with headphones balance of guitars /synths was different on remurdered, but werewolf was transcendent as ever
I particularly enjoyed seeing who plays which guitar bits, as isn't always easy to see. Wonder what the directors thought of the 'backs to camera pose when John or Dom were playing the middle keyboard in front of the drum kit!
There might be highlights up on the guardian site later...

I recorded this. Though I'm not sure how well. What's the best way to share this without having it sit on my personal server?

That was short and sweet! Did they play on after the stream had finished, or was the curfew 11pm?

The streaming I saw they finished after Remurdered, took out in-ear things, walked off stage and then presenter fella came on to stage so looked pretty done to me. Then the programme /streaming went on to a prerecorded piece about something else.

Yeah, completely hooked on Mastercard now. Makes much more sense now than the Cambridge bootleg. The other tracks sounded great too- roll on January
