Early new year, according to Stephen (as mentioned during their set on Sunday). Sent from my GT-I9195 using proboards awesome, that fits in with what i heard about it being announced very soon. Read on twitter that the last song was Holus Bolus.

Read on twitter that the last song was Holus Bolus. Ah yes of course, haven't heard it for a while, but thought it was familiar. Thanks Sent from my GT-I9195 using proboards

Much as I enjoyed Magna, I am very jealous of that Brighton setlist (not only Exorcists, but Travel and 2 Rights are pretty much my favourite Mogwai songs)...

Is there some sort of delay on this Pitchfork Fest Paris live stream? The audio seems to be arriving before the video. And whose idea was it to give it a real 'you're at a gig' feel by filming the backs of peoples heads in the crowd? Sort of missing the point of filming a gig?

think it's one of those filmings where they just use long-throw cameras so they're not intrusive. not great visually, it's out of sync as you say, but the sound is excellent.

woof. that was nice! I'd love Mogwai to go all out and do an uptempo noise-pop album with vocals, they'd kill it.
On the other hand - I have an irrational hatrid of Mexican Grand Prix. One of my least favourite tracks.

Yeah Teenage Exorcists is great, hoping to get a chance to see it played in the flesh, hopefully sooner rather than later....would love a Barrowlands gig to appear on the horizon

We're No Here just made me go all tingly, I think it's like a stored memory - I could imagine what it would be like to be there and feel the bass. Enjoyed teenage exorcists. I think the mixing for TV can be a bit odd sometimes. you can hear odd things like the jangle of the guitars (eg on Helicon 1, which I noticed on the Roskilde one in the summer).

So very excited to see 2 gigs in New Zealand for March. Will try to make it to both as it's a long way to go regardless. Will be my first time seeing them since 2006.

Some confusion about the NZ dates as they're listed swapped round on various sites. Guess I'll wait until tickets go on sale next week before confirming what date comes first. Wouldn't have thought it would be too tricky, but obviously it is.

Well flights and tickets booked for both NZ gigs in March. If anyone from the band reads this, I'll be selfish and ask for some nice variety in the sets please. And loud too! You set a noise record at the Auckland venue when you played there in 1999 of 142db which still stands. Go on, beat it!

Slightly distorted Rob by the fact we've played almost all year as a 6 piece and are down to 5 for this run. We'd be doing more Rave Tapes songs if Luke was here. SB

What ever happened to you guys playing No Medicine For Regret live? I seem to recall you saying something about it this summer. I asked about it, and the Stuart said they would if they had chance to practice which I guess didn't happen. Was listening to it loud in the car the other day and once again thinking how ace it would be live -esp when the that big wave of guitars kicks in (sorry wish I knew the right term/pedal to reference!) And if you're reading - enjoy your festive time off fellas, thanks for a great year x
