I don't have a spare £55 for a bottle of thios for me, I'm afraid.... I'll have to stick with the "Tracy" music box as my exotic mogwai item.

Did anyone try to buy this? Doesn't seem to be in their online shop, so either they've already sold out, or it's only available in person.

The first opportunity I had to have a look was around 1pm yesterday, and I couldn't see any sign of it online at that stage. I don't know anyone who bought a bottle. I was trawling Twitter around 11pm last night for a setlist from the Glasgow show and the only folks who were commenting on it seemed to be friends and family of the band.

Yea, I'm hoping for the possibly of a second run sometime in the future. I was looking forward to adding a bottle of it to the collection.

I managed to grab one online, they sold out pretty quickly (roughly 45 minutes) and the shop sold out around 1.00pm.
The website was a bit of a mess as well, they didn't get the link live until around 10.30 which didn't help a lot of people.
The tough decision is whether to open or keep as is, I'll have to mull it over for a bit.

Was it one per person? I would have needed to buy two, one to try and one to keep, otherwise it would need to be opened.
One thing for sure, like other limited editions, it will increase in value, perhaps more so because of the Mogwai connection. Fans like their memorabilia, wealthy ones, even more so. ;-)

I'm by no means wealthy, but I am a huge fan of the band and of whisky, so this would have made a lovely addition to my small yet growing collection of whiskies.
Ah well, here is to hoping a second run is not too far behind!

I didn't mean you, I was thinking of those who wouldn't bat an eyelid to shelling out a couple of hundred on a bottle after the fact. I would have loved one of these, but would have been unable to keep a single bottle intact. I would would have had to keep the empty bottle though. Actually not a bad price for a limited edition cask strength malt. On a related note, my current fave is Ardbeg 10YO. That and Isle of Jura - Diurachs' Own (one heavily peated, one not).

No worries. I by no means took that personally.
I was eyeing the Ardbeg 10 yr the other day myself... good call!

No chance for non-brits... But I got now a 16 yr. old Glenallachie for 40 Euros and I hope it tastes similar...
