High profile shows in big venues? I can't see them being obscurity-fests, somehow. I hope I'm wrong.

I reckon we might get the odd one or two. I'd like wizard motor too, but my top choice is Glasgow Megasnake as I've never bloomin heard it live. Also no medicine for regret, would be amazing but I'm not hopeful... What else... 7:25, black spider or half time off Zidane I love you... , the precipice, or space expert off hawk would be lovely Death Rays Christmas steps

Given the profile of these shows and the size of the venues, I can't see Mogwai deviating too far from what they usually play at bigger shows, and that means there won't be much in the way of surprises on the setlist. Like I said, I hope I'm wrong and they do pull a few surprises out of the back catalogue.

In terms of wishlist, what MrsRF said I do tend to agree with Rob though, I don't think there will be a huge difference from the sets they have been playing - A couple of surprises would be fab though!

Rob, i think that a 20th anniversary needs a proper setlist with stuff from the whole discography.... if not there will be a lot of disappointed guys.

I'm hoping (assuming?) that they're anticipating a lot of people doing both Glasgow dates or both London dates and that we'll see very different set lists on each night.

Can't say anything more than what was already said - an anniversary show should be representative of the entire career.

The setlist Mogwai played in Krakow last month is certainly "representative of the entire career" www.youngteam.co.uk/brightlight/eng/gig160515.phpIt'd make for a pretty ordinary anniversary celebration though.

Where they did two-night stands last year (London, Brussels) there was a good degree of changeover between the shows. I remember thinking at the time that the second show had the more unusual setlist on both occasions.

I was going to say that both the previous high profile London shows (IBYM and RFH) both pulled some rarities out of the draw. Both great shows too.

Prior to both shows at the Barrowlands this weekend, Mogwai are collecting non-perishable, in-date food items, to distribute across food banks throughout Glasgow City. If you are planning to attend either show, you can donate your items at the front of the venue. This will be clearly sign posted.
Items that can be donated include: Tea/Coffee Milk (UHT / Powdered) Fruit Juice (carton) Sugar Dried pasta Tinned food (soup, vegetables, pulses, pasta sauces, fruit) Tinned meat / fish Cereals Biscuits / Snack bars
