Sounds good. Seen any sign of a setlist? Nothing online, not that I can find anyway.
No I was trying to find one but didn’t get one, not even sure if they were given out.

Thanks, I hadn't seen that. Good to see folks using the site even in the days of setlist.fm

Rob I just emailed you some photos from the show. Man I’ve seen 2 copies of people with setlists I guess I gave up too soon. My wife was not interested in hanging around too long after.

Any pre-gig drinks planned on Friday or Saturday.
I'll probably be in Craft by the station in Brixton. Would welcome Glasgow suggestions - I'll be in BrewDog at some point in the day.

Not got a plan yet, let us know where you’ll be on Saturday, would like to say hello to some board/twitter folk - look out for me wearing my bl! badge and with my OH who has a (not long) ponytail I’m getting rather excited now! Killing all the Flies, Christmas Steps and We’re no here..... eeeeeep would love those on Saturday.

Will be going to the SSE gig on saturday. Looking so much forward to it. Flying in from the Netherlands friday and staying until sunday. Anyone got some tips on what to do /see/ eat in Glasgow this weekend? Hope Martin will rejoin the guys. Cat does a wonderful job, but I really wish for Martin to experience this one off gig.

We love our Mogwai minibreaks in Glasgow, I only know the city centre from our brief visits but things we have enjoyed are: Kelvingrove Museum & Art gallery wandering round the art school area and visiting the bar/cafe at CCA [you can do Glasgow walking tours apparently, I love just ambling and looking up] Willow tea rooms (Mackintosh) curry at Akbars Using the spa at the Blythswood Square hotel drinks/food in the merchants quarter Things I've not done yet but would like to: Necropolis (amazing graveyard, it was shut when we tried to visit) visit Nice & Sleazy's (bar/pub) The Tenement house (museum) Gallery of Modern Art The Mackintosh House, House for an Art lover (Mackintosh places) I hope Martin would be there but then again would it be likely he'd wish to come into such high profile shows with hardly any time to play with the band this week?

Nice. Saturday's coming together. Lighthouse, Shilling, Kelvingrove, BrewDog, Gig. Nice & Sleazy if I'm still buzzing (but hotel is next to the venue, so maybe bed). I'll head to the Cathedral on Sunday, then a wander around the CCA before catching my train.

So it looks like Martin won’t be playing at the 2 upcoming shows (per Cat’s recent Instagram post), which stinks because I’d love for him to get to play but his health is much more important! Also to be honest Cat has filled in phenomenally during his absence!!

I did hear Stuart have a go at some people for moshing (i even saw some kid crowd surfing at one point...), but they were no where near me. Crossing the road material, Satan, every country's sun and We're no here were the stand out tracks in my opinion

Last night was excellent, they seemed to have upped the lighting budget for these two UK dates as last nights list show was excellent..... Anyway that me booked into my hotel & ready for night two of Mogwai mayhem...........

However seems like there were some lairy folk that Stuart had to tell to behave "Unfortunately those idiots that were told off by Stuart were doing more than just jumping around. Apart from all the shouting, they were bumping into people and moshing quite hard. At some point one of the guys even attempted to do some crowd surfing. Seriously...?! Security seemed to be care more about giving water to the people who were standing at the front (this is London in December, not Coachella ffs...) than to throw those guys out. This got worse towards the end of the set with people trying to ask security to intervene which they flatly refused to do. All good they said, nothing serious going on. A few seconds later a fight broke out and three of the guys were finally kicked out. It was just sad. I've been going to Mogwai gigs for almost 15 years and never witnessed anything like this before. Everyone else was respectful and having a good time, hopefully most people still managed to have a good time and enjoy the show Mogwai put up." Sounds like a good number of folks had their evenings ruined then.

This is the second time Stuart has had to pass comment on a Brixton audience, I wish they'd find somewhere more suitable although I suspect the capacity suits them. I was fortunate that stage centre left was relatively well behaved.....

Brixton Academy posted a photo of the setlist on Instagram whilst Mogwai were still on stage.

So were you at Brixton you Rob or is that a quote from somewhere else? It is a shame when there are physically lairy people hopefully most people had a brilliant time. My friend who went managed to avoid it and I spoken a couple of people last night who had done both and had a great time. So anyway the Hydro last night was immense as expected. The sound for Ride was a bit patchy IMO so we made sure we were front and centre (about 3 from the barrier!) and it was great. Once again wore my badge but didn’t recognise any forum folk, though did have a couple of twitter meet ups. Had to get away from a very loved up fella who was in danger of hugging everyone and spilling his pint over you, rather than fighting. Highlights for me were We’re No Here, Jim, Rano Pano, Don’t Believe the Fife and Old Poisons, which Stuart dedicated to Martin who was watching from the side at the end. I felt for him, and missed him last night (again). :::Get well soon Martin if you read this::: - or please pass on our best to him Stuart if you do.

So were you at Brixton you Rob or is that a quote from somewhere else? I wasn't at Brixton or the Hydro. Happy to wait for Mogwai to play closer to home in significantly smaller venues. Even if that wait is four years, as far as 'normal' touring shows goes at least - obviously the Coventry 'Atomic' show last year was great. The last time I saw Mogwai play before that was January 2014. As whiskybob says, it's a quote from elsewhere. The same thread includes a number of attendees commenting on the poor sound quality at Brixton.

Ah I see. Been lucky to get to a range of show sizes lately. Funnily enough had a similar view at both the Hydro and the brudenell

Ah I see. Been lucky to get to a range of show sizes lately. Funnily enough had a similar view at both the Hydro and the brudenell 15 years ago, even 10 years ago, I'd have been seeing Mogwai play several times on each tour. Midweek trips to London are out of the question now, and 'away' weekend gigs are a luxury we can't afford.

Does anyone know if the Hydro show was filmed professionally? Thanks
