Just had an email from Monorail, with pre-orders for Stuart's book "Spaceships Over Glasgow", a memoir. Comes with a mix CD, and is in standard or deluxe editions.
You'll likely already know this, if you have Twitter etc.!!

Bit late but just finished reading it. Enjoyed it and nice to get the origin story and how a lot of things joined together in the late 90s
Book didn’t really cover much related to the band in the last 10 years, and focussed on the death of his father and his second marriage. I get that it wasn’t specifically a memoir about Mogwai but it felt incomplete. I would have loved to have scratched beneath the surface a bit more - what is is like now that they aren’t gobby smashed teenagers touring, what’s it like running a label in the streaming era? What is motivating them to carrying on? I get that the John situation is sensitive but I remember them saying they discussed splitting and it refocused them as a 4 piece so it would have been good to know about that and how they continue to be committed to the band and making music.
Maybe we will get a sequel book?
Dunno how others felt about it but definitely pleased he put the time into writing it. Some lovely words written about Kiko and Mimi from Low, RIP

I also enjoyed it.
It's a book about Stuart, not Mogwai. There's still a book to be written about Mogwai.

I enjoyed the book, too. Agree that it would be nice if there'd be a comprehensive biography of the band, but I'm guessing it will be a few years away.
