Judging by the comments on the offical site and elsewhere, who thinks Mogwai view Curiosa as their least favourite tour in a long, long time?
Only 13 dates to go - I bet they're counting the days. Poor Stuart, giving up the online tour diary because 'he can't tell the days apart'.

can anyone explain to me why they tour so much? if you see the gigography page over brightlight it's chocked full of gigs in 2003 and 2004 will be a little less. i just thought that they would be exhausted by touring so much. now they're heading to a little asian tour in october.

stuart says they haven't gotten too much footage yet for the dvd.. people need to start digging up stuff to send in. as the person who's supposed to be collecting fan-shot footage, i can confirm that, despite having had mails from about 10 people who have filmed shows, i've received precisely nothing so far.

It seems like the fellas are really fighting this one out by playing to the best of their abilities. The montreal show I was at was absolutely unbelievable. They're also changing up the sets a lot, probably in an attempt to quell the daily monotony. I spoke with their road manager in Montreal and he said that things were rough but that the Curiosa tour was going great. He said Robert Smith loves hanging out with the band and that they are all enjoying themselves. He did say that the one day where he had to get a massage therapist to heal Martins back while John was throwing up everywhere was a tough day and that there have been many curveballs thrown their way. All in all it seems like the band is really stepping up to the plate this time around. I am immensely proud of them.

I would think it's just 'cause they love playing live. Didn't they say they wanted to take a break this summer, but when The Cure asked 'em to join Curiosa, there was no way they could say no. Also, and I'm no expert in this field, but maybe they make more money off touring then off of record sales. I would think a lot of bands that are on the level (or near it) of popularity that Mogwai are at would make more $$$ touring, 'cause let's face it, their records don't hit the top of the charts all that often. Whatever the reason, by all means, keep it up boys! Long live Mogwai!

well, not trying to totally bypass you but i gave some footage to stuart, but i can pass you along some too.. heh that'd be good - it's quite possible that the stuff you passed on to stuart may get lost in the confusion of the tour. thank you!

Hey everyone, this is my first post and I'm going to see Mogwai at the Curiosa date in Los Angeles next week and from all the reviews, I can't wait to see them again. This will be my 3rd time seeing them and I haven't been excited to see a band since I last saw Radiohead and Sigur Ros.
