Cheers for that Rob. Haven't had a chance to listen, but great to see someone else was recording, given how disappointing mine was with phasing caused by the large bouncer at the LH stack being unable to stand still for five seconds. I never though the recording would have been affected as much as it was. Lessons learned for the Barras.

Have got several live recordings by mogwai, most of them are more or less moments of that year, because the most sets mogwai plays are about the same, not much variation...kinda jukebox style. If you got 1 you got the rest, it's bout chosing the best recording you can catch that year and keep that on the ipod. Mind you have bought all of their stuff including so its more a fan type of thing I guess.
Recorded the piasnites gig last week...there must be a rule bout talking in first 5-7 rows in front of the stage...the silent parts are completly worthless because of a dumb french speaking girl...why would you ever start a chat direct in front of stage, the music was so loud you had to scream to understand each other...so people shut the F*** up, go at the back, get a brew and a have a chat overthere.

I'm listening to a recording of that show right now. I hear what you mean about the noisy female audience members, although thankfully they weren't too close to this taper. Welcome josporsche, always good to see new folks joining and contributing.

The tracklist and running time of this is identical to the BBC broadcast of the set, which took place the day after the festival. This recording has been on archive.org for a long time; archive.org/details/mogwai2000-04-10.flacIt would be interesting to know whether ATP have been back to the BBC master tapes for the download they're offering?

for the track times to be 'exactly' the same is quite a coincidence. and the FM version does sound quite good, and to me this sounds the same - a little tough to tell as it's only streaming (as 128k mp3 i assume). sounds like they've edited out steve's intro and thats it.
i could be wrong tho....

When listening to that recording, I've always found the 'ex-cowboy' tease that escaped the BBC editors to be very upsetting.
