absolutely bloody amazing!!! nothing else to be said - they seriously have not lost it. Gig of the year so far as I was seriously never expecting to be able to see them again. Played all the hits and more - I think it was 22 songs In no order
1. Bone Machine 2. Caribou 3. Something Against You 4. Broken Face 5. Gigantic 6. isla de encanta 7. Where Is My Mind? 8. Cactus 9. holiday song 10. in heaven 11. Vamos 12. u-mass 13.Debaser 14. Tame 15. Wave of Mutilation - uk surf 16. I Bleed 17. Here Comes Your Man 18. Dead 19. Monkey Gone To Heaven 20. No. 13 Baby 21. Hey 22. Gouge Away
It was great - no one wanted them to leave and started shouting abuse towards the sterephonics who were on next. Even the rain didn't dampen the atmosphere! It's been a while since I pogo-ed at a gig...and where most of the crowd knew all of the words and guitar parts and were singing all of them full blast!!! Thank you pixies - you don't have to be shite if you reform!

stereophonics, why do they still exist? they're like nickelback u.k. they're just like any band you can pay a couple of quid to see in the back room of your local pub any night of the week. why they have been so successful is and will always be a mystery to me. complete shite of the worst order. we left after pixies still revelling in their brilliance...

I thought the pixies were pretty good at T, but I got a bit pissed off by Frank Black not interacting with the crowd at all, or even smiling 'til the last song. It just made it look like they were in it for the money rather than the music (I know they've said they are in it for the money, but it'd be nice if it looked like they were actually enjoying it). However, the second half of the set was much better than the first half, and ended with about 10mins of guitar effects loveliness. Not as good as I'd hoped, but still pretty good.

what is wrong with you crackle!?!!?
who cares if frank black didnt interact or smile - you saw the pixies. there are alot of people (not me!!!) who still havent seen them and wouldnt give a toss. i can only imagine that cos you saw them at a festival they didnt sound as good - am i the only person that hates open air festivals? ive seen so many great live bands absolutely flop at festivals because of the poor sound - notably sfa at reading. i could name alot more.

saw pixies at a festival in early 90s - can't remember off hand which one, phoenix or reading - and i thought they were dull. at move they were amazing. from what i saw they're playing as well as they did on the doolittle tour and the show at newcastle poly, which was also in concert on radio 1, is still one of my faves of all time. Move had the advantage of if you went into the standing crowd near the front, then it was more intimate than a larger stage say at T in the Park. Just my opinion for what it's worth...

No, it wasn't the sound. It's just more rewarding I think for an audience to see that the band is actually enjoying playing. I was probably just pissed off with the incredibly large number of neds too

i saw the pixies twice at brixton and then at the forum as well, and they certainly haven't lost anything over the years. and from talking to fellas who saw them way back in '88, they also say they haven't lost anything, and are downright better then they were in the last couple of years the first time round.
herrah for us!
