one of mogwai's "bands" on their rock action label. i've only heard a few songs like "nexus" and i totally agree with the sabbath meets kraftwerk thing. are they still playing together? i thought i read about a split rumor, or maybe not.

i hope they dont split, correct me if im wrong but they havent even put an album out yet. saw them support mogwai and quite enjoyed it bought thier eps, the tracks on the rock action vol 1 cd are probably their best. would like to see them again and to see an album emerge

i think their bassist has been playing with part chimp? the kling klang website hasn't been updated in ages as well - it still has the dates for last spring's mogwai tour.

I hope to God they didn't break up as the Superposition EP is brilliant.

i have a great story and i swear i'm not making this up. i work at a place where we pack cosmetics, perfume and other stuff to various countries (sweden, norway, denmark, estonia and finland). every package has a sticker on it and it says where it's going (the person who ordered it and their address). anyway, lately a couple of people whose surnames are kling or klang have been ordering stuff. is that possible, is this a weird coincidence or what? i find it very funny though.

are they still playing together? i thought i read about a split rumor, or maybe not. It's likely there will be a Kling Klang album in the next few months or so. Joe Kling Klang has been playing with Part Chimp but that hasn't meant giving up any of his other musical endeavours - including his fine 'Krautrock' project and Kling Klang.

Yugh... I saw those guys before the Gwai last year in Brussels, and I found their music plain uninspired and boring. And pointless. Sounded like Add N To X, but without the fun. On a more positive note.... they made me even happier to see Mogwai that night ;-)

I think I remember reading somewhere that they have an EP collection coming out soon.

hello gus, its difficult to say when the kling klang album will see the light of day. i had hoped we would have had it out this summer but for one reason and another its been delayed again. we're still intending putting it out its just a case of getting hold of the finished masters so we can actually put it out...

the record is still being put together, it's now been mastered and everything. just waiting for the enhanced elements to be added and then we should be good to go. look for a late spring '06 release...i know we've said this before but it really DOES look like it should be together soon.

I'm sure I read somewhere recently that The elusive KK lp is out this year.

Joe of the band (now of Part Chimp) has said (via his myspace page) that the album is finished. Rock Action's myspace page says it will happen "I PROMISE".

Just wanted to breathe a bit of life in the old thread and say how happy I am to see Kling Klang playing a few shows. The Portishead ATP line up is already looking tempting (but when isn't ATP tempting?!) with KK & CBP to name but a few.
Are there any plans for more KK shows this year?

According to the forthcoming gigs list, Mogwai are back at Minehead in December too - brightlight.youngteam.co.uk/eng/gigs.php - anyone know if there's any truth in this? I'm probably going anyway, but Mogwai woudl seal it.

Its Crippled Black Pheonix, featuring Dominic, who are playing ATP in dec not Mogwai. However it would be ace if Mogwai played ATP for a change
