Today I did a big mistake I bought the "Kicking a dead Pig" remix album from Mogwai. Oh My God! - The only track which i worth listening to is the Tracy remix. The other tracks would I call an electronical mess. I really don't understand why Mogwai have agreed to release this b*llsh*t under their name. But there is two good things: The Kicking a dead Pig album wasn't in sale for full price, where i bought it. The other thing is that i also bought EP + 6... This "EP" (Even though the lenght of the album is VERY long ;D ) is a beatuful record! - Thanks Mogwai! What do you people think about the remix album?

I like the Fear Satan remix. There I have said it!. Not saying it is better than the original but I can listen to this 9.47 version on days when I can't be bothered listening to the full 16.17 or need the 6 minutes to do something else like post messages on Forums..

The Surgeon remix is intense. Play it really really really loud. Like some of the best moments of Mogwai, the Surgeon remix is based on a simple idea, and uses drone noise effectively.

i also bought EP + 6... This "EP" (Even though the lenght of the album is VERY long ;D ) is a beatuful record! - Thanks Mogwai! No, it's called EP+6 because four of the tracks were on the original Mogwai EP and the other 6 (hence the +6) were from two other EPs Oh, and my favourite is the Alec Empire remix although I haven't listened to the album for quite a long time...

I love this remix album. It introduced me to artists I grew to love and may not have discovered otherwise (Matt Elliott and Hood to just name two). It's a varied record that's creates new sounds while often keeping the source materials soul intact. A sucess in my somewhat hazy, nostalgic opinion. but understandable that it might not suit everyone's tastes
