Thoughts on PIL in general? I don't know a lot but a little through some gems on youtube as interviews with the original line-up ending abruptly etc. Found this amazing video of PIL performing on America's Bandstand, breaking every rules in the book:

PiL are a great band - well worth the effort, Christian. Albums to hear are Metal Box (aka Second Edition) [plenty of krautrock and dub-influenced tunes] and Album (aka Compact Disc) [super rock riffs], although I also enjoy Flowers Of Romance and First Issue. Failing that, the greatest hits set is a great place to start.

Metalbox is the one I'd purchase first. I've copped some liner notes from wikipedia about the songs so that should be a great start. Thoughts on the PIL reunion? Thoughts on John Lydon? Is he getting a bit old and grumpy? Cheers Neil.

I like Lydon. He still has a lot to say, but he's smart and funny.
A while ago there was a programme on BBC4 about Lydon and PiL. I can't recall what it was called, but it was very insightful, and Lydon was a fascinating interviewee.
If anyone else can find a link to that show, it's worth watching.

I think he's very fascinating to watch during interviews, there's tons of them at youtube etc. There's people knocking him down because he did a butter commercial to only use the money he owed to PIL's reunion. Which I think is brilliant, rather than doubt on some promoter that probably rips them off in the end or so.
