I can't wait to hear the full Young Face Gone Wrong. It sounds lovely. I wonder if that was what it was originally called or named that because they didn't like it. It sounds like a pretty negative name almost doesn't it?

Brilliant stuff. ;D Great to hear Y2K and Helps Both Ways.
I just realised though how that version of Satan isn't from the Young Team era at all rather inbetween CODY and RA. I mean, usually any live material on a reissue is from live shows of the same period of time roughly. Not that it matters of course, just noticed. The others are all '97 and '98.

well it struck me weird too because i'd got the impression from some of stuart's posts that they were only using young team-era recordings for the bonus disc...

I guess its probably down to the amount of (or lack of) decent source material available to release the live stuff. Having already released some of the BBC sessions I wouldn't have thought there were many decent quality recordings available that the band were willing to lay down on plastic. If only they had foreseen the tenth aniversary release and filmed some early shows then we could of had a dvd!!!

Id like to see that. The earliest I've seen is their TV performance (of Summer) on the NME Brats thing at the Astoria in 1998.

There were videos of the band's first gig and early years on the History of Rock section on one of the older versions of the Mogwai site; along with pictures and audio, all offline now, sadly.

brightlight-youngteam.blogspot.com/2008/05/young-team-reissue-lp-packaging.htmlInteresting. So cheaper than the preorders. Hopefully they'll drop in line. If not I'm cancelling. Now, I wonder if Chemikal Underground are planning on putting the items up on their shop any time soon and if they'll be sending out for release day because unless I can get it cheap elsewhere, I'd rather give them the money direct.

Amazon and HMV (haven't checked other retailers yet) seem to have reduced the price of the 4xLP to £27. 2xCD still £8. No sign of the vinyl on RA/Mogwai.co.uk or the Chemikal shop.

Seems like after a long weekend for the Chemikal staff, the re-issue will be online! shop.chemikal.co.uk/Chemikal Shop Undergoing Some Upgrades... Sorry folks but we're currently in the process of upgrading the shop at the moment and as a result, the checkout function has been temporarily disabled. We apologise for the inconvenience (albeit temporary) and can assure you we're working flat out to get things up and running as quickly as possible - please spare a thought for the Chemikal drones who will be spending the ENTIRE weekend in the office. When the shop goes live again (hopefully by the start of next week) we will have the Young Team Deluxe Edition available to buy on 2CD, 4LP Box-Set; MP3, FLAC and Apple Lossless formats as well as some rather nifty deals to make up for the downtime. The price of progress would seem to be a long weekend in the office - sheeesh... Back soon... All at Chemikal Underground

There is a link to the Resonance shop on the main site but it is showing the Deluxe LP as £22 plus £11 postage in the UK - how the hell does it cost £11 to post anything without recorded delivery within the UK - this must be an error, right? I know the LP pack will be heavy but even so...

Normans have charged me 23.99 plus about 3 quid postage. 11 quid does seem excessive. Maybe they're using gold bubblewrap?

HMV said my CD shipped today so I'm hoping to get it before the bank holiday. Although the Irish can probably pick it up on Saturday from shops I think.

Hmmm. Even if Bestbuy were the cheapest & it came with a free golden Rolls Royce I would refuse to buy it from them. On what grounds I hear the voices in my head ask...well for starters they haven't got the right artwork, they fail to mention that this is the wonderful remastered reissue and as for their lazy approach to track listings.... www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8827549&st=mogwai&lp=1&type=product&cp=1&id=1854597Get it from somebody who gives a f***
