Probably not. We're split between those who ordered it on CD, and who are blowing their minds on much louder speakers than we could afford 10 years ago, and those who are still waiting for the vinyl to show up!

I ordered the CD simply because I don't own a vinyl player. =( I do remember hearing vinyls as a kid - albeit Abba mostly - and feeling a roundness which never came out on cassette or CDs, but was sure CDs must be the best because it's like digital, man.
I only just got my CD from HMV because of probable thievery by Royal Mail first time 'round. All I can say is they have excellent taste though. Unless lost copy went on eBay or the ether.
I'm very pleased with the remaster as it is largely similar, but I could tell on first listen it was made better by very slight sounds now being brought to the front. However, I still have affinity for the original record too just because that's how I first heard it.
The bonus disc is an interesting addition for the pounds.
I'd love to see an album or EP of Mogwai remixes for other artists. I remember Arcadian being very good.
The band haven't let me down yet. They evolve but don't take any overly weird sharp u-turns like some other bands I like have. But I probably would like them still even if they did.

It's oh so true. Even after repeated exposure, I still feel uncomfortable listening to 'Like Herod'. The two quiet-loud bits still scare me, and the anticipation/waiting for the quiet-loud bits make me uneasy.

Forgot how great Katrien is, and how much it reminds me of Ex Cowboy.

fyi to anybody in the las vegas area - the two zia's record exchanges in Vegas had copies of the LP box set. $106 plus tax. a bit pricey but i was actually surprised to find it there since Amoeba in L.A. didn't even have it. if i hadn't already bought mine (for $45 off Amazon UK) i would have picked it up.

I just got my MYT re-issue in the mail today. Just popped it in. I am only about 2 minutes into Yes! and it sounds AWESOME! I am in for a treat for the next couple of hours.

Here: www.sendspace.com/file/3vlh6vI think this is the only different bit. I hope this is alright. I know we're not allowed to share commercial releases but this is just a snippet and Stuart's already said it's not worth 79p.

Cheers for that clip. I'm sure it's alright to add that, unless Lars Ulrich has joined the band.

Just wanted to share this with you guys: A couple weeks ago luckily I found a copy of "Mogwai Young Team" Deluxe Edition from, the now defunct, mexican label NOISELAB RECORDS. I've been looking for it for awhile, until today when I found one in a local record store. I was supposed to pick up the Chemical Underground version, which I saw in that same store two weeks ago, but couldn't find it and instead they found the NOISELAB edition for me in storage. Apparently this label also released "Mr. Beast" according to their webpage: noiselab.com/catalogo/. This version comes with something like a japanese "Obi Strip", a splicase cover and two sets of stickers. Other NOISELAB releases also come with stickers. Catalogue number: ns2 428.

Bit of a long shot, but does anyone know someone who is willing to sell the deluxe vinyl boxset? Couldn't find anything on ebay.
