from partchimp.com
"If you are in the United States you will soon be able to purchase a compilation album of singles, rarities, & previously unreleased tracks from Monitor Records of Baltimore. It even includes two videos - for 'War Machine' & 'New Cross' - in iPod friendly format.
It's titled 'Cup', is beautifully packaged in a digipack with artwork from Shaun Flynn & Jay Howell, and is out on April 24th."

any sign of a tracklist anywhere? Neither the Part Chimp site nor Monitor has one. Got to be worth a punt for 8 quid inc shipping though.

tracklisting as follows (from amazon.com): 1. Bring Back The Sound (single version, I believe) 2. Crash the High Octave (from their split 7" with Joeyfat from a few years ago - their heaviest song, and rather brilliant) 3. Seedsy (from the Silver Rocket comp) 4. Miser Chimp (War Machine b-side) 5. 30 Gabillion People (War Machine b-side) 6. New Cross 7. Black Water (New Cross b-side) 8. And Hell Is Behind Me (New Cross b-side) 9. Once More Forever (not sure where this is from) 10. Wild Honey Pie (see above)

VERY tasty. But why is their Hawkwind cover "The Watcher", not on this? It is awesome.

As good as the proper recording is, Im pretty gutted they never recorded the Watcher the way they play it live. Now THAT is the heaviest fucking thing you will ever hear.

Ahem, Yeah. The ONE MUSIC BBC session version (widely available on stuff like Soulseek) comes pretty close, but like all Chimp nothing compares to standing there and seeing them rip your face off. Best live band in England, I tell ya.
