hello sovslol, welcome to the forum! i found some info at www.mogwai.co.uk although it doesn't really explain how they did that sound on that song etc. i hope this helps: Q: I noticed on the last album, there was quite a bit of computer-based production involved. What kind of synths (both soft and hardware) do you use? And do you use sequencing software like Cubase or Pro-Tools?
A: Yes we are huge fans and users of computers as musicians tools. We use a lot of Virtual Instruments such as HALion, B4, Hypersonic, The Grand. At home we use Cubase SX and in the studio our Engineer uses Pro-Tools and sometimes DP.
I think we will always include computers in our recording (and Live) set-up, especially because of the rising quality of the programs being made. Let us embrace the technology and thoust shall be happy. Barry

I've noticed recently that Mogwai are being compared to or recognised as an influence on lots of more 'electronica' based bands. For instance in this months Uncut there is a review of the new album by Marconi Union which refers to Mogwai's celestial peaks. Mogwai are truly opmnipotent.
