Sorry Rob, I googled them but didnt find any pics of their album sleeves. But Ive heard of the name before. Thanks for the compliments of my pics. Even if the app ShakeIt does most of the work.

They did open for Mogwai during the Rock Action tour, right (question mark, my keyboard is a bit faulty). My description of Hood so far is noisy, garagey rock kind of, very short songs, is that correct (question mark).

The Remote Viewer were members of Hood at one point. They worked with Mogwai on the electronics in the outro of '2 Rights..'
The later Hood records (Cold House etc) feature a lot of electronics. They did like to stretch their wings too - Rustic Houses Forlorn Valleys has 9+ minute tracks.
I love Hood.
The Declining Winter (formed by one of the brothers who were the core of Hood) are well worth checking out too.

Hood were very much a Yorkshire ensemble. Yes they were from Bristol, but the press lumped them together with Hood as one of their little "scenes".
