Actually, as long as they do the whole 'Play the encore at twice the volume of the main set' I'll be happy. Or, you know, playing the whole set at 2001 volume would be nice. Getting Part Chimp to do some kind of support (as mentioned on the other forum) would also be a plus, but looks like thats not gonna happen this time round.

Its great where they play in Toronto (the Phoenix) - if you get close to the stage you get the same volume you use to get at the back of the theater, which is/was quite enough for me! I wouldnt mind a bit of a cull actually - I mean do we really need to hear Helicon every show for example Not that I dont love the song, but I would certainly give up a lot of old stuff to hear a good chunk of the new album played, and maybe some older stuff that never/rarely turns up. I hope Hasenheide finds its way onto some setlists as well - its a fantastic song!

Looks like they did play Hasenheide. ...and SKELETONS! Hope they bust that out on the US tour.

I'm with you on that, but then I've been fortunate to see Mogwai considerably more than most. Will we ever see the day when Hunted By A Freak gets dropped? Looking forward to hearing the new album live.

There should be a rule - only one of (Hunted by a Freak/Friend of the Night), and (Helicon 1/Mogwai Fear Satan/Like Herod) In return more yes! i am a long way from home, and more 2 rights please! Yay to killing all the flies, auto rock, and GMS(which really should just be played every show)

Yeah, I know what you mean - the setlist.fm stats are pretty clear on that one! You do get the impression that you know that any "classic" songs that are going to be played are drawn from a fairly small pool, but to be honest on this tour I'm more interested in hearing what the new stuff sounds like. And I would be very happy if the encore was the same as Aberdeen's

Presumably a substantial number of tracks from the new album - Rano Pano and Mexican Grand Prix as ever-presents? Hunted ( obviously) Jim Morrison I'd be pleased to see I Love You and Scotland's Shame survive the inevitable Hawk Is Howling cull. A couple of long-dormant tracks to be dusted off, at least for the early shows? I reckon the likes of Acid Food or Folk Death could be on the list. Kappa maybe? Helps Both Ways? Stop Coming To My House? Would be ace if they included Sine Wave...though I doubt it'll be the same form as played on the Rock Action tour...the shimmering delay effects at the end of the track are jawdroppinglyamazing....

Revolution is in the air - Hunted By A Freak only played three times in seven shows?! Maybe it's finally joined the group of 'oldies' to be pulled out occasionally but not every show? About time too.

So far a pretty nice mix of old and new. Still some standards that have yet to be dusted off yet. Notably "I love you...".
Could do without "Flies", and "Auto Rock", but I'll just be happy to be seeing them twice this year. It's hard to complain when you know it's poised to be a brilliant experience any way it goes.

Is it too late to wish that they start injecting Superheroes of BMX into the setlists? Preferably by the Los Angeles/San Diego dates?

So after 3 years, I will finally get to see Mogwai again in my country.
Also, I am new to this board. Hello!
I love Mogwai. What is the best way to ask them if they can play Batcat on the August 20th?
