I'm pretty bored so i'm gonna take the time out to ask the following.
Are mogwai still really loud live??? The last time i saw them was 5 years ago they were loud the first few times i saw them but i was younger then and my current job keeps me around loud music so i reckon my ears are pretty much fucked these days to even tell the difference.
Thank you for time i'm pretty pretty pretty bored.

Unfortunately the good old days of ear bleeding mogwai gigs are just a distant memory. The live shows are an acoustic affair nowadays. Stuart plays mandolin, Dom has moved onto a fiddle, john has traded in his axe for a harp, barry churns out the hits on an acordian whilst martin plays various percussion instruments including a washboard, spoons and those little egg shaker things.

don't forget the automated music box they use to play Tracy, so they can have five minutes off mid-set.

I saw them at the ICA for the 4th time on the 10th and it was the loudest I'd seen them. A friend of mine who saw them for the first time that night said it was the loudest gig he'd ever been to (he'd never even heard any of their stuff beforehand) and he's totally into his hardcore and death metal.
My ears took 2 days to recover so you can safely sy they're still mind blowingly loud.
