Interesting to read people seem to hate 'Repelish'...I think it's the best track. The album isn't immediate - but then again 8 albums in that'd be pretty hard to do. Awaiting the boxset eagerly - curious to hear the three other tracks. I loved the bsides from HWNDBYW so should be good to hear more new tracks. Replenish completely kills the vibe for me. It's like an advert or something coming on.

Underrated: Deesh...I think that it is epic, all parts flow togheter.. one of the best Mogwai "cinematic" song!

www.svd.se/kultur/musik/envis-postrock-hittar-nya-influenser_8894730.svdQuick translation into english for you: Basically gives the album 4/6 "stars". Thinks that Mogwai still is relevant and by making the music for "Les Revenants" and "Zidane" they´ve managed to stay interesting/relevant even though the postrock-genre has been "around" since 1990´s Mentions "Kraftwerk" as a reference when listening to this album...as well as Neil Young and Daft Punk

This is a pretty crazy review. At first I was pretty sure that English isn't the reviewer's first language, but on further review I think it might be. I particularly liked: I feel so..... manipulated.

Box has just arrived. What a monster. Huge (about an inch deep), heavy, gorgeous. Can't wait to have a proper listen tonight. I think I may well be hanging around the stage door next Friday with the book and a sharpy.

Likewise, mine has just this second turned up. It's like Xmas all over again! It's a thing of beauty - the book is very good indeed.

"Shaun Ryder Prison" I wonder which song that became.
Great package.

Unfortunately "your mp3s are not available for downloading" - I wonder whether these won't be available until the weekend? Hopefully we'll have wav/flac as an option as well.

Given that I already have the album in 3 formats, why am I still so keen to get a cassette next week?

I imagine they'll kick in on Monday. I guess they're set to go based on it being gone 12am where your IP address is? Otherwise, I love the idea it might be that some guy called Terry presses a switch somewhere in an office after he's brewed up on Monday morning...

Got my Rave Tapes box today, wonderful set. Playing the album now and love it. Shame the downloads aren't available yet, hopefully they'll turn up over the weekend. Great photo book too, superb images.

Repelish is a good song but after the first couple of times I was really wishing I could just listen to it without the monologue. Maybe they'll release a version without it.

Seeing as some people have got their box set already, I thought I'd best check my Sandbag account. Seems my order is still "processing", which it has been for some time. So I'm hoping it's not too far away.

Our box arrived yesterday, came home and the other half was wearing the T shirt! (was one of the early mistake orders). We also had a tape. It is a thing of beauty. I went out to see friends so could enjoy driving in the dark listening to it. Of the ones I've not already heard, I'm not super keen on repelish but adore Deesh. The drumming is brilliant on it. I'm tempted to join you on Friday in the stage door lurking Yelobeli... but only because I need a full set on my hoody before Barry's original signature fades!

First impressions:
Tell Everybody That I Love Them - too obvious to compare this to Stanley Kubrick? Whether it is or not, it's very good.
Bad Magician 3 - I would guess somebody other than Barry wrote this. Guitar-y rumble. Again very good.
Die 1 Dislike! - repeated guitar line, with everything ebbing and flowing behind and alongside. Nasty snarling section around 3:30.
I'd like to hear all three of these live.

Do you know if there is any way you can download/buy those "bonus tracks" digitally or do they only exist in physical form in the box-sets?
