I can't recall Mogwai ever using entrance music at shows, but I'm sure someone else can correct me.
Anyhoo, does anyone have suggestions for good, dramatic entrance music, to get us all keyed-up with aniticipation for a Mogwai show.
my ideas: "Ringpiece" - A.C. Temple "The Host Of Seraphim" - Dead Can Dance "solute" - re
.........or have I got too much time on my hands??

The one and only time i've seen mogwai use entrance music was for either reading 98 or 2001 (Can't remember which) when they used a recording of orson welles telling a story to his grandson about knights battling forces of evil. I believe its taken from a manowar album. This is true i swear.

i remember that one at reading '98, that was great. i remember them coming on during that speech and playing fear satan first, and the two friends i was with jumped a mile when the mega loud bit kicked in.... does anyone know what manowar album it's off? would love to hear it again...

I have a recording of a canadian concert where they walk on stage to a scottish(?) poet speaking about scotland's love of the herring... I'm sure someone more culturally informed can identify the speaker.

"dark avenger" from their debut "battle hymns" and "defender" from "fighting the world". beware though: we are talking about extremely cheesy music. p.s. nice to meet you all.
