I'm hoping Rob Strong or someone else here might be able to help out. Like others I'm wanting to pre-order the Mr. Beast CD with the bonus DVD - problem is that I can't figure out whether there's going to be an NTSC version of the DVD available, or if it's PAL only. Checked around everywhere, including the Matador site, but as it stands the only specific DVD format info I've come across so far is that it's PAL...no mention of NTSC anywhere, at least not on any US sites that have it available for pre-order.
If anyone out there knows or can find this out please post and let us know.

my prediction is that matador focus on the us crowd only and releases a ntsc version for them only. and pias will release a pal version for europe. but my common knowledge is that music dvd in general are region free and ntsc and pal friendly. hope this helps.

I think Christian's guess is reasonable - region-free and formatted for playing in the country of release at least. I don't have a definitive answer, sorry.

Don't they have all-region DVD players in North America?
Even $70 dvd players at the local department stores here in New Zealand play DVDs from all regions.

The one I have cost about $45, plays PAL and NTSC and all regions. I'm with christian and rob, that if you're pre-ordering from any US site, the DVD will be NTSC.

I assumed that ordering the CD + DVD from a US site would mean getting an NTSC format dvd, but Siren Disc has the DVD listed as PAL format in their pre-order section...and that's the only US site that I've seen any format info on. They do sometimes get the imports over domestic versions, though, so that may very well explain that...but the lack of info out there on US sites has left me wondering...hence the post to see if anyone knew more.
I am well aware of cross format region free DVD players, in fact I am actually in great need of one, but for now I have other things that rank higher on the priorities list. If this DVD is PAL only I can certainly live with that, but let's hope that with a new release of this magnitude Matador will do the right thing and put it out here in the US as an NTSC disc, even if this CD + DVD set is a 'limited edition.'
I am on the lookout for more info on this, if I can confirm either way I will post here first thing.
