there are currently no dates after the Coachella Festival on April 30th until the Albert Hall show in September -- touring is a notoriously expensive business (especially for bands visiting the USA), so it's possible they'll want to play a few shows after the festival date keep your hopes up, and your ears and eyes open - never say never

Well, they're playing in Minneapolis now on May 20th so it looks like there could be a number of further shows in the works.

Not Seattle area, but hopefully a positive sign - Ticketmaster have a show listed for Minneapolis, 20th May - presumably meaning they're in the US for most of May?

they're also on Pitchfork
I don't think that list is complete yet - no LA show, for starters, and there are quite a few gaps between shows (the biggest notable one being 3 days between Minneapolis and Seattle - I know it's a long way, but that seems excessive?)

my thoughts are that maybe they consider coachella to be their LA date.

well, hopefully they are planning on doing an LA show after the San Francisco show. i'm sure they had to sign the stupid agreement with the promoters of coachella that they don't play an LA show a few weeks before and after coachella.

the other problem with extending the tour later in May is the Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona, first weekend in June.

great...
i should be able to make all 3 northwest shows without putting myself in debt...
sure seems like a decent amount of crisscrossing the western hemisphere for mogwai this spring...

there are quite a few gaps between shows (the biggest notable one being 3 days between Minneapolis and Seattle - I know it's a long way, but that seems excessive?) i think the problem is driving distance... it's about 1500+ miles to seattle from minneapolis, which is a 24 hour drive (with no stops)... and (no offense to north dakota, montana, or idaho) not much in the way of rock venues between the two... i've driven about half the route, and there's not much out there... beautiful country... but not much else... -Rob F.

DAMNIT! I was looking at the tour page on the Matador website and they listed Mogwai playing The Avalon in Los Angeles, CA on May 14. however, they're actually playing The Avalon in Boston that night (see post above). Some retard didn't proofread their shit.
