Mr Beast entered the UK albums chart at Number 31
hmm, don't know about you lot, but I was kinda hoping it would have done a wee bit better, what with the CD/DVD edition etc. - then again, if I hadn't got my copy from Play, perhaps it might have got to 30!! [dangit, so it's my fault!!!]

Well given that you won't find it in Sainsbury's or Tesco's, it's not a bad showing. supermarkets tend to dominate these days in all walks and CD sales are no different.
After all without them and the wonders of Radio 1's playlist things like this wouldn't happen
30 NEW (-) Leo Sayer At His Very Best (UMTV) 31 NEW (-) Mr Beast Mogwai (Pias Recordings) It's just not right is it!

Who cares. It wouldn't be right for Mogwai to gain some miraculous chart-topper of an album/single, only to be devoured and disposed by the mainstream. If they really wanted that, they wouldn't put a picture of white-liquids dripping over people on their cover, and they wouldn't release Friend of the Night as a video/single because it doesn't have vocals (which are really important to casual music fans), and so on. Mogwai sells on the strength of their music and the brilliant reputation they have built for themselves.
