Or a better question, why would Mogwai advertise themselves on such an American scenester wankfest as Myspace?

Or a better question, why would Mogwai advertise themselves on such an American scenester wankfest as Myspace? who wouldn't want 17,000 new friends? i think you could happily have left out the word 'american' there. it's as prevalent here in the UK, surely?

Sorry bro, It's just all the ever-so-hip-and-jaded, monitor-illuminated, NuPunk mascara wearing, 'purple bangs'-infested faces of teenage internet girls who think their web blogs and "friends-lists" are actually worth a shit-pie to anyone... kinda annoy me, a little Spose they aren't all American though.

Or a better question, why would Mogwai advertise themselves on such an American scenester wankfest as Myspace? if they didn't have a myspace account, i wouldnt have been able to pester them to play tracy in southampton. which they did. and as far as im aware, they havn't played it anywhere else. leading me to believe that they played it solely because i asked. . well maybe. but i think band myspaces are a good thing, it gives people a chance to vaguely get in touch with, and hear from bands.

It is a shame tracy only lasted for about 3 minutes - i couldn't hear the drone because people were talking over it. I think myspace is good for music networking.

Hey only, did you know that when the first messageboards/forums started, general consensus was that the people using them were "ever-so-hip-and-jaded, monitor-illuminated, NuPunk mascara wearing, 'purple bangs'-infested faces of teenage internet girls"
I am glad they never caught on ;D

haha That's very true. Myspace isn't that bad though, there are a few really decent people on there. My friend met the love of his life through Myspace. And you're all right, it's a really great way to talk to up and coming bands, and even really huge bands
