Just found these little beauties on Soulseek: 1. Mogwai - Cody (Demo, 03.04.99 GLR Session) (6:03) 2. Mogwai - Kappa (Demo, 03.04.99 GLR Session) (4:44) 3. Mogwai - Punk Rock (Demo, 03.04.99 GLR Session) (2:13) It's Stuart as a guest on Sean Hughes' GLR radio show, and he plays the three demo tracks. All different to album and session versions, as far as I can tell. Zipped up here: s63.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3CPBJVSM15JXT137SL08M5CPSO

Sweet moses these sound great. It's interesting to hear how they envisioned Cody before they recorded it properly for the album. I noticed that they play the chords in arpegio style (play each note of the chord seperately) as opposed to the twangy rhythmic strumming they used on the album version. These demos show that Mogwai went into the studio for CODY well prepared. Thanks for making them available

Thanks for these. Everyone probably knows this already, but the original version of Helps Both Ways (with John Madden as the backing) is also worth having.
