Don't bother - this is it: Mogwai doesn't make music that goes from soft to loud so much as it goes from small to big. Some fans might consider their '06 release Mr. Beast a bit less intense than prior albums. You couldn't tell from Coachella's Outdoor Theater, where the Scottish quintet alternately lulled listeners with softly tapped guitars and drums, and blew them out of their socks with a three-guitar assault.
Mindblowing.

i've noticed there's so little coverage of mogwai at coachella. even at nme.com they even seem to refuse to print their name! i bet 90% of the audience of coachella went to see the misery that's called madonna.

In all honesty, most of the people there on Sunday probably went for Tool and Massive Attack playing (some of) their first US shows in many years.

mogwai was like the ONLY thing i would have been interested in seeing at coachella. the only way i would ahve gone is if i could have gone for free. kind of shitty lineup overall.
madonna is an abomination.
