It has always been one of my favourite Mogwai songs, ever since I got the Curfew EP. But listening to the Peel Sessions CD tonight has made me remember that I have never seen any acknowledgement that it is maybe, really, a throwaway moment from Superheroes of BMX. Is this right? I am sure it sounds the same, or did they play it first before SoBMX? I loved the Small Children song so much when the Xmas Steps record came out, even more than XS itself, it is still a favourite. I am really interested in what other people make of this?
And, any other "not recognised" Mogwai classics?

i've always been partial to it myself too - and it was the first mogwai song i ever played on the guitar!
don't really think it is anything to do with superheoes IMO - both classics but very different. But I may well be wrong - and usually am ;D

Maybe I didn't make myself clear, sorry. The Peel Sessions version of Superheroes starts not sounding at all like the recorded version. It sounds like Small Children, it is Small Children, surely? And this is the reason I stated this. I think on sober thinking they probably played it first and then went into Superheroes, but it was a little shock when I first heard it. I thought that it may have been related to Superheroes.
