a bit of a surprise and a disappointment, i'm not a big fan of the studio version of 2 rights. i think the version they did for steve lamacq pisses all over it, but hey in a democracy...
how many voted in the end ?

how many voted in the end ? I'd be interested in knowing this too. Maybe post the numbers for all the songs, if it's not too much trouble to do that, that is. It'd be cool to see if there were any close fights between songs.

a bit of a surprise and a disappointment, i'm not a big fan of the studio version of 2 rights. i think that most live versions of 2 rights are better especially the rock action tour version but c'mon the lp version aint at all shabby

the reykjavic version is cool with gruff of sfa on vocals Except there's no singing in 2 Rights... You're thinking of Dial: Revenge from the same gig I think. But I'd say that the version of 2 Rights from that gig is definitely the best version I have.

Christ, maybe you're right. I always assumed that was a guitar, but now giving it another listen, maybe it's not (hopefully we're talking about the same bit)

&start My favorite version of 2 rights is from 2001.04.19 London. Horns! BTW. This show will be on archive.org shortly. mmm nice I've been trying to get a copy of that for a while. I've just spotted 3 more you've (literally) just put up. I'll get round to putting some up at some point, although I expect you have most of them. Did you say they don't like radio broadcasts?

I think I've got some stuff you want - early Peel stuff in lossless. Let me know if you want to swap.
You do have some things I don't. I wanted to post the 2001.06.14 show but some of the source files died with my last HD. That would be a good one to post. Best f**king version of Herod ever.
I encourage you to upload to the archive. It is easier than posting a torrent (which we've both done) and once you do it, it is available to everyone forever.
All of the other Mogwai shows I have are radio-sourced. I would _assume_ that we can't upload that stuff because of copyright issues.
The curators are very pleasant and prompt. It might be worth asking.
Case in point: that Iceland show from 2001, which is a classic. My source is radio, show I didn't put that up.

You might be okay to archive radio broadcasts - the search below reveals many radio broadcasts already in the archives. www.archive.org/search.php?query=radio%20AND%20mediatype%3Aetree%20AND%20collection%3AetreeThere's even a few BBC broadcasts in there (search for BBC) including Godspeed!'s Peel show. But with the BBC sessions CD being released, it's probably best to steer clear of BBC broadcasts for now. Thanks for your input to the archive, though - it'll be much appreciated by current and future Mogwai fans.

OK I'll probably put up some stuff next week. Off the top of my head, these are the most likely: Reading 25/8/01 Radio 1 Broadcast ATP 26/3/04 Radio 1 Broadcast Tempe 14/6/01 (as idiamin requested) If anyone wants any of my others (check db.etree.org/thecrackleofpigskin) up there, tell me.

I'd love to see some of your shows up there. 05/02/04 - Empire Grade Polo Field05/22/02 - The Ottobar06/14/01 - Nitas Hideaway03/14/01 - Iðnó Theatre(this is the one with Gruff Rhys, correct? If so, then definitely this one!) 03/11/98 - Folken Obviously, that's a lot to ask for, so take your time, if you even feel like putting 'em all up. I'm just putting it up as a 'wishlist' of sorts. Any and all Mogwai show out there are welcome, so thanks to everyone out there that's uploading these, or going to! I appreciate it!!

Crackleogpigskin -
Posting the ATP 2004 broadcast would be the greatest thing ever. Is it the complete show? Any comments on the recording? Awesome, awesome, awesome.

ATP isn't complete I'm afraid, the broadcast was incomplete not the recording. There is a complete (mono I think) audience recording I know of but I don't have it. The recording I have is from digital radio (via digital TV box) so the sound's very nice.
Also, I'll certainly try to up some of those requests by tazerfloyd next week.
