dont get excited and think there is breaking news about next years atp other than the fact you can already buy tickets on aloud.com!!
i was wondering if anyone has been to any of the previous atp's?
what was it like?
is it easy to get more than the specified number of people in a chalet?
every year i said i'll go but never got round to it mainly as i only know one other person who'd wanna go and £250+ each is an awful lot of money to spend on a festival - next year i am going without fail i presume mogwai will be there?!

you can already buy tickets on aloud.com!! i wonder if they've sold any? surely, in the light of the RE:TG debacle, punters must be holding off from buying until the line-up is announced. and three weekends - do they have any hope of filling them?! you need to have a ticket to get on site. you need to exchange that ticket for a wristband to get into the venues. sleeping in someone else's chalet is fine, provided you're happy without a bed (or lucky enough to share) i doubt it? they do seem to make some attempt to vary the line-up from year to year.

sorry if its widely known its just i haven't seen it anywhere, but i heard from somewhere (and i can't remember where) the organisers for next years all tomorrows parties are
15-17 april - rescheduled re-tg with throbbing gristle 22-24 april - jake and dinos chapman (british artists) 29 april-1 may - vincent gallo
as rob said, doubt mogwai will play, but i'm sure they'll be attendence for at least some of it. i can't see mogwai, shellac or tortoise ever playing again (unless its side projects or the 10th anniversary), but thats my opinion and i'm probably wrong

i can't see mogwai, shellac or tortoise ever playing again mogwai and shellac have been reliable ticket-shifters for the festival over the last few years, and i wouldn't be surprised to see them playing again at some point. it'll be interesting to see who the curators ask to play.

i've heard from a source that his beard have been kidnapped. that wasn't witty enough. how about: rick rubin's beard is doing a solo show. rick rubin has joined zz top. rick rubin would never read this thread anyway. enough.

i don't know if i got this right from the thread, but is the camber sands date a second london show? i hope so
also where can i get tickets for this as i need to go. i think the whole best on-stage banter at last years ATP was from shellac.
"this is the song, cunt hole" (or something similar)
i laughed
so i need tickets. where from please? and is the camber sands date a london dare or am imagine it
sorry if none of this makes sense, i saw david holmes tonight and he was awesome. some incredible tracks and remixes. and a messy evening

ok, i've been super lazy. i'm sorry. found tickets, but it only has 2 london dates and none of them match the camber sands date on the southern website. is there a 'foundation' event taking place somewhere in the cold at this time in camber? i need to go to 1 of these shellac shows, but can only afford 1. would prefer the camber sands date on the friday. anyone with more info, about this, before the other gigs sell out and i'm left disappointed, would be much appreciated. thanks

not even the official atp website [ftp]http://www.atpfestival.com/[/ftp] has any info, it is being updated which i guess is a good sign.
im not taking any chances so i got tickets for the london date although i would also prefere camber sands as its only a few minutes drive away!

the southern tour update e-mail tonight confirms that there is indeed an atp taking place in december - curioser and curioser (or should that be curiosa-er and curiosa-er)?

Brace yourself - This little tidbit could result either in the stuff of dreams, or a potential lynching if someone thinks they're being funny. www.atpfestival.com/events/index.php?event=13"Slint are confirmed to play and tickets are on sale now through the wayahead group and can be purchased by clicking Buy Tickets in the menu bar or by telephoning + 44 (0)-115-912-9000 or online via www.wayahead.com or in person via Stargreen Box Office on + 44 (0)207-734-8932 or "Q- Are Slint actually playing and is it the line up that performed the album Spiderland? Yes, it is all four memberswho performed the masterpiece Spiderland." Wayahead, however, are unaware of an ATP event in December as of this evening. Actually, the more I think about it it might be like the funniest thing ever if this is a joke. Some seriously intense post-humour man.

www.drownedinsound.com/articles/10056.html..although I remain skeptical that the info was ready for primetime, especially considering the ATP site has now taken down the FAQ and Event Info sections. Regardless, Queen Vic at Christmas? Fuck yeah.

who's going to have the money to go to camber sands so close to crimbo? and it'll be 'kin freezing and the journey could be a nightmare at that time of year...
it'll have to be a stellar line-up to even tempt me this time and then there would be the job of persuading at least 3 more mugs folk to go.
