ELECTRO – ACOUSTIC WALKWAYS:
A space to hear yourself think…<br>
Musicians from the Falkirk area are invited to compose music to be incorporated into, the sampling phenomena: ELECTRO – ACOUSTIC WALKWAYS:
What is ELECTRO – ACOUSTIC WALKWAYS?
Musicians from all over the Falkirk area record 15 – 30 seconds of music based on the criteria below. All the music is recorded and put onto one of 5 samplers.
The location for our performance is Callendar Woods. Samplers are hidden in Callendar Woods, infrared sensors are hidden in trees.
When the audience walk around the space they automatically trigger sensors which, in turn triggers 1 of 5 samplers, which in turn blasts one of the samples (chosen at random) from a speaker which is attached to a tree.
The project is designed so that the audience are the people controlling what they are listening to….. Interested? See below
Criteria:
Any Instrument or voice can be used
The only notes that can be used are: E A C F sharp
The only chords that can be used are: (no E) A C F sharp
You will receive a tempo CD click track recorded on CD

Bonnybridge Education Centre Sat 26 March 12 – 3pm tbc
Bo’ness St Andrew’s Church Mon 28 March 12 – 3pm
Falkirk Camelon Education Centre Sat 9 April 11 - 2pm
