tomorrow it's five years since the horrible events of 9/11.
where were you when you heard the news?
i was working and heard on the radio that a plane had crashed into a building in new york. it was in the early stages so we thought it was an accident. then i went home and watched the news on the tv where i saw one of the towers collapse. it was live and i didn't understand anything. so i watched the repeated news about the crashes and collapse for a couple of hours. at the time someone said that at least 50,000 had perished in the collapse of the towers.

I was at home watching a cricket game on TV, when there was a news flash about an explosion at the WTC. I turned over to a news channel, and watched the second plane strike live. It felt weird to watch it, and have confess that I watched it for the rest of the day. I saw the 2nd plane hit, the collapse of the WTC, as well as the footage from the Pentagon.

I was with a friend, watching a dvd, when my girlfriend called and said that a plane crashed into a tower in usa. i was like "ok, shit happens" and got back to the dvd. then she calls again, about a second plane crash, and that made me realize something big happened. dont get me wrong for what i am about to say, i am in no fucking way happy for what happened, is just that it was a good message for the american government that they cant go out bombing the world without paying the price. its a terrible thing that the price was paid by unfortunate people like you and me, and not those that are really responsible for the last, umm many wars, but arent allways the poor that pay the price?

i was woken up by a friend leaving a message on my answering machine...
"dude, we're under attack, they're flying planes into buldings, blowing shit up, wake up..."
pretty scary really... (though he was overreacting a bit)...

I was going to my college and heard the news on the bus radio, but nobody there believed that was that big. Once i got to my classroom someone turn on the tv and we watch the building on fire, and people jumping out of the windows, and then the hole thing collapsed... we felt that for once, in America, people would know what really is terrorism, something that affected us for so many years here in my country. So sad to watch...
