How did you definatively find that out? That makes me real happy, as I finally got around to hearing the '99 lamacq version of Helicon 1 which more or less brought me to tears. Definately the best version of the song ever recorded.

i am very pleased that it's the lamacq versions included.
but i'd have prefered the mary-ann hobbs version of r u still into it? the vocals version is stellar.
and is cody included or not?

i'm presuming so - it's been listed in a couple of different places.
given the length of many of the tracks included, it'll be a long listen.

Nice to know that it's the "definitive" version of "Helicon 1".
Is this still set for release on October 25th?

as a new poster, im a bit unsure of what you guys are on about, esp as i only started listening to the band migh on a year ago.
but they have made such an impression of me - they're arguably my 2nd favourite band (after spiritualized) sadly i sti havent seen Mogwai live, so to say im looking forward to this album is an understatement - the two live tracks on 'my father my king' are absolutely astounding.
any advice/ideas on how i can get hold of any live recordings?

www.nme.com/news/109646.htmThe NME says the release date will be Feb 21st, which would be the day before it's released in the US, so that seems likely

bought the lp yesterday, helicon 2 is absolutely beautiful. Was a bit disappointed by superheroes, but i'll give it a few more listens before truly judging it

Is it true that each track on the CD is preceded by a John Peel introduction?
I hope not - much as I like John Peel, it's harder to lose yourself in the music.

I picked up the CD yesterday too, it's very impressive, much better than I thought it'd be too.

Yet another excellent addition to the mogwai collection. I give it a 9.2/10 for sure.

I've really not felt compelled enough to listen to anything minus Like Herod yet, i think its going to be one of them albums where it just clicks on your 8th listen.
