Will the Roman Ultras act like Roman policeman and knock fuck out of the Man UTD fans at Old Toilet tonight? Will Valencia do the rest of Europe a favour and knock Chelsea out? (hopefully) Will Liverpool beat the winner of this tie and reach another Champions league/European Cup final (fingers crossed) Are Bayern good enough to finish the job they started against Milan? Very exciting few days on offer, anyone got any thoughts, or support any of the teams above? Does anyone care about the UEFA cup?

I'd love Utd to fail, but can't see it happening. I also can't see Chelsea scoring twice in Spain. They might get one, but Valencia have been very good at home this season. Liverpool might come unstuck against Valencia in the semi-final, I'm afraid. Bayern should hold Milan off okay.
No-one cares about the UEFA Cup because it has always been 2nd rate and 2nd best. I will onbviously change my tune the minute my team qualify for this pointless competition. But then again, if we can't be bothered to even play a decent game against doomed Watford, we don't deserve any European games next season.

Aye, Pompey were poor yesterday at Watford, bit of a comedown after beating UTD in your last game. Shame about the UEFA cup, a once great tournament ruined by the expansion of the 'champions' league to include teams finishing 3rd and 4th in Europe's biggest leagues, then allowing teams illiminated from the champions league to fall back into the tournament half way through. A farce of a tournament (except when we won it in 2001!), best summed up by channel 5 having the rights to it! Fingers crossed for Valencia and Roma tonight, the thought of losing to Chelsea or UTD makes me shudder!

Praying for Utd defeat, dont mind if Chelsea win, want Liverpool to lose.
I support AFC Bournemouth so we arent *that* likely to make a UEFA spot in the next few seasons, so hating UTD is always in the blood of every lower league fan. Chelsea I kind of like. I find their arrogance funny and I like the fact that they have pretty much proved what we all knew - its all about cash. At least I have an excuse for us being shit - we are skint!
Liverpool I am still in a mood with after we were drawn against them or Burnley away in the FA Cup. The Liverpool ballsed up against Burnley costing us a money spinning trip to Anfield (as well as a great day out). However that wasnt the end of it as we played so well against Burnley they immediately bought three quarters of our midfield, something that we still havent really recovered from. Yes, I am holding a grudge on this one!

...I support AFC Bournemouth...Chelsea I kind of like... now now, let's have none of this "I support club A but I quite like club B" malarky, thank you one club and one club only the number of rows I've had about this, and I thought this forum would behave itself on this point...!

Oh Cheggers dont get me wrong I only like AFC B. Love em in fact. Am currently sat hear wearing a charming third kit from the 80's.
And whilst I do have an unhealthily long list of B teams, if AFCB are playing them I hope they get utterly spanked. Oh and Chelsea wouldnt get anywhere near my B list. You need to be Swedish generally to get on that list (come on my Umea FC).

Much as I dislike them, my god they were tasty lasat night. They are def the best to watch out of all the English clubs this season. And it hurts to say that!

Shred-ed....
Not the classic performance that everyone´s talking about but they did score some tasty goals. And pretty much anytime they got near the wooden keeper. I smell a fix! But I doubt many people would have put money on them scoring 7.

we're soon entering half time and i'm watching liverpool vs psv. just a side note here, i'm wondering why they're building a new stadium for liverpool? i think the anfield that exist now is fine by me. i fear they will enter the same "fate" (if you will) as i feel arsenal have entered. their new stadium is awful and i miss highbury because it had a lot of history. i just feel it has affected arsenal's game playing a wee bit. i'm just rambling here...
it looks like milan will be man utd's next contenders.

I am going to Emirates on Saturday with some sweet, prawn sandwich munching, corporate tickets. I cant wait.
I go to probably only 15 games a season (almost exclusively AFCB) but havent ever been to a Premiership game. I cant wait to bore on about how it isnt the same as the lower leagues and snort disapprovingly at absolutely everything (but secretly be mind-bendingly jealous inside).

The simple answer is money. We need a bigger stadium to compete financially with UTD and Chelsea, who for very differant reasons are the two richest clubs in the world. They are also the two clubs that we are competing with on the pitch despite currently having nowhere near there financial muscle. Anfield has a capacity of 45,000, Old trafford's is 76,000. Each match day UTD's turnover dwarfs ours and this is something we have had to do something about. Liverpool have 58,000 people on the season ticket waiting list (as well as 30,000 current season ticket holders) so in theory, we could at least sell out the same number of tickets for every game that UTD do.

Still fancy Milan, two away goals isn't to be stiffed at and all they have to do is win 1-0 at home.
COME ON MIGHTY YOU REDS!
