Enter The Brand New Chemikal Underground Online Store
One of the best record label online shops around? We genuinely think so.
That's right, it's finally up and running, it's virtual doors open and waiting for you to sweep through with a crazed desire to buy up Chemikal goods by the metric tonne. When we say that this shop has been a long time in development we're not joking; we first started putting the content together in July 2006 and have been toiling away at it ever since. Hopefully when you get the chance to have a look around you'll realise why it's taken so long - it's what a record label's online shop should be about: it's informative (there are notes on every single release); accessible (it lets you stream EVERY SINGLE track in our catalogue for free - whether you buy them or not); exhaustive (there's a whopping archive of reviews on all the releases going back over twelve years); generous (there are some rather jaw-dropping prices to be had) and loyal (we will be providing our mailing list subscribers with special coupon codes so you can purchase new releases cheaper than anywhere else on the globe). These are tough times we're living in and we realise that there are other places you can spend your money so we've really tried to go the extra mile in providing you with a shop that doesn't charge the earth and offers you something entertaining and unique in return. If we were going to be completely honest too, we've had a look around at other record labels' online shops and, well, they're crap...
Anything to look out for in particular?

This will trigger your Chemikal discount and any orders received before close of play on Friday should reach you in time for the official UK release of Monday (Feb 11th). You should note though that this offer will end at midnight GMT on Sunday 10th so don't be a slouch!! Also, if you don't order it until late on Sunday please don't expect it to materialise on Monday as our Star Trek transporter system is currently under repair and the workers have said they need to get the parts in from Taiwan and it'll take a few weeks...
(Look out for another special coupon for the release of the Radar Bros' new album 'Auditorium' - due out on February 25th...)
So let us know what you think of the shop and if there's anything we can do to try and improve the service we're offering - you guys have taken the trouble to join our mailing list so it's your opinions that count the most. Remember - check out the shop as soon as you get the chance...

Any other business?
Well, we've had more amazing reviews for Aidan's album; more radio play for the Radar Bros. (thanks very much to everyone who voted for them in the Radio 2 vote but we were pipped at the post unfortunately!); Paul's finished his first stint recording The Phantom Band at Chem19 and is now off working with Franz Ferdinand; Mogwai enter Chem19 to work on their new album; De Rosa are waiting for Andy Miller to stop working on Mogwai's album so they can finish their's; Mogwai Young Team is currently being remastered as we type; and we're all waiting with itchy fingers for the first load of orders to come in through our shop...
