Anyone heard their debut album which just leaked, it's pretty good. The beginning of the first song "Flowers & Football Tops" totally sounds like Mogwai Fear Satan.

Cmon people listen to "Flowers & Football Tops" from the album and tell me if the beginning (at around 0:30) sounds like Mogwai Fear Satan or am I imagining things.

As far as I'm aware, the former is in G major, and the latter E major, but they probably sound similar due to the delayed and reverbarated guitars. I havent heard the album version, though.

lots of delayed guitars reverbing, indeed, but it doesn't sound like mfs to me. the drums are very different too (martin's beat kicks this one's ass so much it starts bleeding in advance)

I listened to the album track, it sounds like the start of a live verson of Fear Satan. Good stuff.

They both use that layered delay thing but they're not that similar.
Not that Glasvegas aren't a crap band who make crap music who take themselves a million times more seriously than anyone ever should.

The third track is my favourite, along with the last track.

I find Glasvegas somewhat dreary and pretentious. I've listened to the album a few times, but I get more and more irritated with each play.
