Myself, Nick and Dunc (Fratton park) will be there at the simple things fest, loads of good stuff and Mogwai to cap it all off, will also be wearing bl badge with pride so come and say Hi although not while bands are playing!!!! Does anyone have set times for the day ? or even just Mogwai?

Anyone seen any coverage of the Aberdeen show? There's a half-arsed attempt at the setlist on setlist.fm but reviews and photos are sadly lacking.

Magna
Heard About You Friend Ithaca White Noise Rano Pano Ex Cowboy Auto Rock Hunted Deesh Remurdered Werewolf MGP -- Helicon 1 Batcat
Short set, but superb sound. Shame the venue was undersold, I could walk from the bar at the back to 3m from the front without even saying excuse me. Got some nice photos, will post them tomorrow.
Oh yeah Luke was back as you may gather from the setlist (no Xmas Steps or MFMK this time tho! )

pretty pretty pretty good!
was a shorter set, and I loved the first 2 thirds. I don't like the Deesh/Remurdered double because it (IMO) killed the vibe a bit, but the encore was great. Ex Cowboy and Auto Rock were magic and new ones for me live. Surprised that John was off-stage for Auto Rock, with Luke on guitar and the guitar tech on cymbals. Seemed strange - is that normal? Sound was a bit patchy at times but on the whole was good and loud.
It was always going to be undersold because it's a pretty big place. It was nice to have a bit more space at a gig!
I'm glad they've toured a few places (S.Yorks, Liverpool) which haven't been played for a while. From the sounds of it when leaving they've gained some new fans.
RM Hubbert was good from the 10 mins I heard. Saw him last time in Sheffield and really love The Car Song.

According to their Facebook, Mogwai are on from 23.30-01.00. Late one! It's being streamed live too. Great, do you have a link to the stream? Did anyone manage to save any sort of webcast? This was sensational gig - sound was mental. LOUD and clear - as Loud as I have seen Mogwai for some considerable time. The quiet to Loud bit in Fear Satan was really funny - me Mr Power and Duncan were a bit knackered and sat upstairs and it was quite late at this point, when the song went lilting you could see a few folk relaxing...then BOOM (and it was a sonic Boom) - entire rows around us leapt off their seats! Classic moment. Great great gig.

The Liverpool show on Friday was brilliant, great atmosphere in there too. Agree with the comments above about the sound, Friday was the same: really clear, really loud, boss!
One of my all time favourite Mogwai gigs that.

Wow that was fantastic. The loudest I've heard them play. I'll put the set list up tomorrow, unless someone beats me to it.

Yeah, just checked that setlist site, and I got it right!
It was lovely to hear Take Me Somewhere Nice (I think for the first time), and Ex-Cowboy was fabulous too.
It was by far the loudest I've heard them play. The closing loud section of Mogwai Fear Satan was unbelievable.

A 12-song main set is pretty much constant apart from festivals, but your list only has 11. It's also mentioned in the Clash review. www.clashmusic.com/reviews/live-report-mogwai-at-brighton-domeJust seen some photos - Errors seem to have acquired a female vocalist and a Roy Keane/that guy from Bake Off beard.

Yes, Mogwai did play Travel Is Dangerous; probably the first song that started to melt the faces in the crowd. A first visit to The Dome after being a regular at the band's London appearances over the years and a terrific venue it was too. A really mixed age group compared to the capital - so as an elder statesmen follower I felt more at home! A short-ish set from The Errors was a really great opener - I'd say five or so songs with female vocals on three - and then Mogwai took to the stage with a much sharper sound system. And, boy, a much louder one. Teenage Exorcists was punchy, an enormous surprise and wonderful. The Rave Tapes tracks all worked well and Take Me Somewhere Nice was yet another unexpected delight. But the final three numbers - We're No Here, Hunted By A Freak and Mogwai Fear Satan were on another level. The light show throughout was far better than anything I'd seen before and it made a huge difference to the event. The combination of light and sound during Satan were unbelievable. Got the feeling that the band - particularly Stuart - enjoyed their time in Brighton. A cracking gig.

Errors were good too. They played Magna Encarta, Pleasure Palaces, two new songs with a guest singer, and a closing song that may be new too (I'm not sure).
