Now that I've got my tickets, this should be posted:
Took me 20 minutes of engaged/redial, then a few on hold, and then I sorted myself a ticket for the 10th and 11th. Then got greedy and grabbed one for the 14th as well. The exam period for my first set of finals starts on the 13th which is just about enough to put me off a five night stint. 350 capacity venue, oh yes.

Got mine for the Friday (despite the fact it's a 13th and something is bound to go wrong).
The becoming deaf stopped me from getting more than one set of tickets. That and money.

well I'll be headed to the Dublin gig. the temptation of heading to London just to see Mogwai is pretty strong, but I'm not sure my ears would be up to five straight nights.

Just looked and I could fly from Bristol to Dublin at sociable hours for hardly any money and have a lovely time at the Gwai show/enjoy some lovely craic.
Thats a daft idea though surely?
Hmmmmmmm.

Thats a daft idea though surely? Nope Do it do it do it! hah. if i lived around there i'd be there every night. I think if I worked and earnt, rather than lived off a student loan, and it was at a less important time of my life, I might well have do all five. Especially if I knew what the special-ness was going to be - I can't envisage ten hours' worth of set variation! Two or three will suffice for now. i can't wait for the tour to come to this side of the ocean. I think we all look forward to the aftermath of that!

If I had a mogwai buddy as keen as me I would do it like a shot. Would be a great laugh. Dublin one weekend London the next.
It isnt going to happen though!
Damn you life.

I think we all look forward to the aftermath of that! haha. well i used excess student loan money to upgrade some of my recording gear a few years ago (which i'm paying back now that i've graduated) and then went to 4 GYBE shows during midterm exam week (and then 3 more shows after the exams were over). and as far as the aftermath goes. if the the policy on a/v doesn't change, then there should be some good results. i'm currently trying to figure out how i'm going to get my hands on one of those $2500 3CCD minidv cameras. all i can say is, if it all works out, there should be some amazing results from toronto.. as i know plenty of people there that are experienced and that would help out on the project.

Honestly the easy way to see them is get on a plane and go to one of the Ireland shows (which I think still have tickets available). Ryanair or Easy jet will get you there for no money due to the time of year, it will be a better laugh and you wont have to put up with the too cool for Christmas Steps (you see what I've done there?) London crowds.
I cant wait for the Dublin show - come on!

got my ticket for the Dublin gig in a little shop here just yesterday, and I'm sure there are more available online. I hope they're doing what they did in 2003, which was a small pre-release UK & Ireland tour followed by a larger tour post-release later in the year. i.e. brightlight.youngteam.co.uk/eng/gig100503.php followed by brightlight.youngteam.co.uk/eng/gig161003.phpand gus, they won't sell you more than four because you might be a filthy tout

But they are making us pick up the tickets from the door arent they? That presumably helps to stop touting.? Out of curiosity I looked on ebay a minute ago and couldnt find any on sale.
Can't wait for these shows. Dublin one saturday London the next. What a way to start the year!

Yeah I'm keeping an eye on eBay daily. I'm not expecting much to show up though, if anything, expecially if it's collection on the door. Blasted laziness...

Hi all,
I am a Mogwai Fan from China (me housemate as well). Our visa in UK will expire by the end of Jan. That means that we might have no chance to come back to this country again.
Unfortunately, we will miss the show in London coz when we heard the news the tickets have been sold out. Still wanna have a try, if anyone here knows there is any cancellation, pls let me know. Or anyone wanna sell tix to me will be really really appreciated...since u guys still have plenty of chances...PLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having helpfully had my other thread locked down (for fucks sake what is this?) I will have to post this question in here - despite it being almost completely irrelevant in this thread (I repeat what the fuck? what a funny way to run a forum).
Any idea about supports for the upcoming shows? Surely we should find out pretty soon. I am going to Dublin and the london saturday show, and neither are that far in the future now. Any ideas?

being hostile and arrogant will not help you find any answers. your thread didn't have any clues if it was about the dublin gigs nor the london gigs. so i advice to adjust to what i feel is worthy having open and locked. if you don't like it you can find yourself another source of information. thank you.

Wow. Those two tickets on Ebay went for 112 pounds. That's just crazy. I bet the band wouldn't be too happy to hear about that!
Not to gloat or anything, but I did get my tickets early and am very much looking forward to the Thursday night (12 Jan) show. Anyone else going that night? Anyone interested in a drink before the show? I've seen them a couple times before but really don't know what to expect from a show at the ICA. Anyone been to one of these Take Control sessions in the past who wants to share some details?

Would really like to go to one of the london or dublin shows. If anyone has any tickets they would like to sell or know anywhere we can still possibly get hold of some from, please let me know. Cheers
