It's gotta be Young Team. I realise that it's maybe not as 'complete' as CODY or HSFHP, but it was the first one I heard, and re-shaped my musical boundries in so many ways. I still don't think there has ever been a better opening to an album than 'Yes! I am A Long Way From Home' - every time I listen to it, I'm transported back to the tiny room in Nottingham I was living in when I first heard it, and am slowly floating away on a musical wave to pastures unknown. Or something. I initially spoilt CODY for myself by hearing almost all of it out-of-context on bootlegs & stuff before it was released, and it's never 'clicked' completely for me since. 2nd place would be a toss-up between HSFHP, Ten Rapid & EP+6.

Very difficult question... I said Come On Die Young, because of its very homogeneous sound that makes me think to a very long and slow fall. But there are also incredible songs on Young Team and EP + 6. I'm especially a big fan of Mogwai Fear Satan and Small Children In The Background !

'Happy Songs For Happy People' is probably their most consistant, although there are better and arguably more interesting tracks on other albums.
Still, I'll go with 'Happy Songs'.

Got to pump for Ten Rapid, love the rawness and noise although there really isn't a bad album there

My vote goes to Come On Die Young. Some of their other albums are more fluent, but more of my favourite songs are on this album.
