No bother Stuart. It's hardly a soire up here. It looks as if the alcohol God has shat in our living room and he's left a stinker. Goodnight all. I must prepare for Mexico. And there's a guy coming round in the morning to inspect the wasps nest he treated yesterday, to make sure the wee stinging arseholes have bolted.

in response to his "ask the forum members questions" post, i'd stated that i'd list off all the gear i'd recorded you guys with as well as list off all the places i'd filled my car up while driving to your shows (post 2003), if interested... but now the whole bit seems a bit dull to even have posted.

So, are you all pretty heavy drinkers then? I assume that being 'self employed', not having to get up in the mornings, spending a lot of time in clubs and the traditional expectations of being a 'rockstar' must exacerbate the preexisting genetic and social prediliction to alcohol purely through being Scottish.

Nothing too personal though eh? What's your favourite tv show? I like The West Wing and Black Adder. SB

Sorry distance, I am truly a post deleting motherfucker. When I posted it I found that 4 more posts had appeared since I started typing it so I deleted it until a more appropriate time. It was only up for about 20 seconds though, I'm surprised anyone saw it.

I'm not a very heavy drinker but i do probably drink more often than i should. As far staying in bed, no chance. Princess and Rambo my 2 dogs ensure that i am up hideously early. Goodnight. SB

Martin, Dominic and me are right into it and will probably try and get the others into it on tour. John likes the original a lot and may take some persuading. SB

i love LOST and it's criminal having to wait until next year for new episodes. i love the first two seasons of prison break. the third season took a very left (or right) turn into something not so good. when the writer's strike started in hollywood it fucked up the flow of all tv shows (including my dearly beloved LOST).

Okay, since non Mogwai-related questions appear to be in vogue; can any of yous recommend me some good record shops in Glasgow? I mean apart from Monorail, Mixed Up, Avalanche, Missing, Record Fair, and that wee junk shop down Otago Lane?

it's nice to see the q+a getting back at the moment, i sometimes miss them. anyways, i was wondering for quite some time since the original got abandoned: is there a particular reason why you guys don't play most of your songs as fast as you used to? there are recordings of for example katrien, ex-cowboy and christmas steps that are played almost at warp drive compared to how you do it now. not that it's a bad thing, it's just quite noticeable when listening to live tracks from different years. and also: how's martin doing? greetings from the land of leffe.

Mono for all your vinyl, beer, and vegan needs, and obscure japanese imports, but Avalanche, for the day-to-day and secondhand shopping. Don't frequent the rest much, but that wee record shop on Otago Lane is pretty good for some vinyl bargains. Suppose better ask a question - Q - favourite new bands or records at the moment? Q - favourite local bands at the moment? ie. small Scottish or unsigned bands at the mo that you may have seen recently that have impressed. Errors and Remember Remember don't count.

Mono for all your vinyl, beer, and vegan needs, and obscure japanese imports, but Avalanche, for the day-to-day and secondhand shopping. Mono's brilliant; it's my favourite place in Glasgow. A vegan safehaven. Don't frequent the rest much, but that wee record shop on Otago Lane is pretty good for some vinyl bargains. That is actually Mixed Up Records, which is a very good record shop. The one I meant is called Relic, down Ruthven Lane, which is also full of records, as well as a load of junk. I'm wondering if there's any more record shops I should check out.

Can you guys let me know where these great Glasgow record shops are? I'm there for the MBV show next week and, as well as doing some site-seeing, will obviously feel the need to give the credit cards a workout!!!
