Great setlist. Any coincidence that an all seater gig gets great reviews? Like the South Bank last year, I get the impression that people treat the music with more respect at a seated show.

Second US date in August - Washington DC, 3rd August (9.30 Club).
Wonder if there's many more to follow. Mogwai are in Japan on 7th and 8th August but they may squeeze in a couple more shows before heading off?

i've been there does anyone have a correct setlist. I posted it on brightlight, but I wasn't sure about the order. sound wasn't that good unfortunately, but the setlist was good. they hurried a bit with a lot of the long songs I suppose.
lookin forward to vienna show.

I'd say that is very likely indeed. Don't get too excited though, they are bloody boring.

Stuart's comment on Twitter last night, with regard to Mogwai's remaining touring commitments: "17 shows with a possible couple to add. Mostly festivals but the odd regular gig to fill in the gaps." The 17th and last of those is Summersonic, Osaka on 8th August.

You've got to assume they are playing one of the Xmas ATP's - probably the 10 year anniversary one that is for all the curators.

I wish they'd play the Valentine's ATP - I'm going to that. As it is I'm gonna see Mogwai once this year. Poor deal. Sigh.

Can't afford to go to both ATP's (what a bloody rip off all that announcing-the-second-one-after-the-first-one-has-sold-out-oh-and-by-the-way-its-the-ten-year-anniversary-even-though-it -is-only 9-and-a-half-years-debacle) so looks like that is it for me in 2009.

The Romans obviously like their audience-shot video - there are (at the time of writing) 19 videos from last night's show in Rome on Youtube. I haven't watched any of them.

The photos from the Rome show, particularly those taken from the upper tier of the crowd, look like a model of a Mogwai gig - vast stage with all the equipment together in the middle and five figures posed around it. There's a few here: www.youngteam.co.uk/brightlight/eng/gig180709.php
